Excellent Mexican at the Beach!

Excellent Mexican dining option at the beach! Great salsa and guacamole! The fajitas are great, the chimichanga was great- we love this place! Come in frequently and always leave happy!

We chose this place based on recommendations from friends . We were seated promptly and the both was dirty . We we ordered and food was pretty band and not the authentic Mexican food I anticipated. We will not return

It's okay, your normal Mexican restaurant. Steak fajitas was good. Their salsa has a little kick, but good. Nothing spectacular, but if you want Mexican food and you're on the island, then it's a nice spot.

We have eaten dinner here numerous times over the years. Unfortunately, the food has decreased in quality. The greeters treat you with grumpy faces & never make you feel welcome. We won't be going back since we found Plaza Mexico!

Cute restaurant, but the food was average at best and my drink was crawling with ants. So gross. Definitely not returning there again. Staff wasn't very attentive, we saw our server when he took our order, when we managed to grab him to tell him about the ants, and when we were leaving.

We went there because a few of our friends spoke highly of the restaurant. We got there before the dinner rush, but still waited for at least five minutes before anyone even acknowledged that we were waiting to be seated. It took another 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we waited ten minutes before anyone came to the table... More

We've come here every year with out family, it's a tradition. Food is good and reasonable. This time we had a big group (13) and they seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us. My husband complained that camerones de ajo was not as good as years past, but overall food seemed good. Still a place to go... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at El Zarape. The food was great and the hand squeezed margaritas were delicious. The place was really clean. The service was a little too pushy as far as clearing plates and they kept coming back to the table frequently. I would have given it 5 stars, but the server interrupted our meal a lot... More

We stopped in El Zarape on our way home from Emerald Isle. We were in desperate need of vegetarian and Mexican is always a good possibility. We had low expectations and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. They were not to busy at 6pm on a Friday night (although by the time we left, they were full). They place... More

We were not expecting a lot but the food was really good. Unusual items that I had not had in other Mexican restaurants in the western USA. I had a dish with chicken and shrimp texa-something. It was very good. The service was friendly. The decor lacks appeal but go for the food!
