Typical Mexican Restaurant

This is your atypical Mexican food which we have visited a couple of times. We found the place clean and friendly with a small bar area. When we need our Mexican fix we usually go here and suggest you give it a try.

Let me begin by saying you can't go wrong with an El Zarape margarita - strong, tangy and superbly mixed. Now, let me back up for the rest of the unfortunate story: We're vacationing here on Emerald Isle, and this spot is across the street from our condo, so why not? We enter, and there are people standing around, looking... More

While visiting Emerald Isle for a weekend we decided to take our family (3 adults, 4 kids) to a restaurant that was advertised in our hotel brochure. It was only 1/2 mile from our hotel and we were glad to not have to drive more. We were hungry, tired and grouchy-hoping for a nice meal together. *DO NOT WASTE YOUR... More

We had a great meal and great service. Very happy we ate here. We were greater and seated in a tidily manner. Great margaritas. Had the quesadilla with chorizo.

It took about 30 minutes to get a table, but the food was good. The fajitas could use some thicker pieces of chicken but overall the food and service was good. I'd recommend stopping by for dinner while in town.

We came with a group of 8 for the first night dinner of our spring break and were underwhelmed with the service that was provided. We got our initial drinks 5-10 minutes before our food arrived and did not see any refills until after most of us had finished eating our meals 20 minutes later, even after asking the food... More

That is how my 14 year old described her meal (Camerones Cancun). It also summed up our overall experience. The food was a little slow getting out, but they kept us stocked with chips and salsa (delicious). The Hawaiian Fajita was delicious and served in a pineapple, which was cool. My partner said the chimichanga was one of the best... More

The only Mexican restaurant in town. The food is good. We got ours to go so I can't comment on the service.

Food is just average. Drinks the same. Last time we ate there our host didn't even smile. Acted like he was doing us a favor, seating us! We live close by and will probably go there again, only because it is the only Mexican restaurant within a half hour's drive.

A local favorite-reasonably priced, good service, great top shelf margaritas (according to my husband), casual, and I love the flavors! Great place to eat when all the grandkids (8 of them) are here in the summer.
