Good food, good service, good experience overall

Our family waited about five minutes to be seated then we sat down and had a very enjoyable dinner. A good variety for all ages at reasonable prices.

The first impression was not great in that is was in an obscure strip mall. The parking lot was full so we tried it and was very satisfied. We had the seafood bisque, the blackened tuna salad and cheesecake. Wow, for $30 is was incredible. The service was excellent and the portions were generous. I highly recommend Flipperz and will definitely... More

We always eat here for breakfast on our way home. The pancakes are excellent and so are the omelets . The wait staff is good and my wife likes to shop next door. The prices are good too.

I just walked out the door and had a great experience. Everyone enjoyed the food but I was really impressed with mine. I figured it would be a small piece of blackened tuna. But no, it was an ample portion, perfectly cooked (perfectly rare), and the seasoning was awesome. Blackened with a candied peacan crust and Wasabi mayo. The hill... More

We've been to Emerald Isle at least 12 times. For about the last 5 years we always seem to have our first meal upon arrival at Flipperz. The restaurant is quaint, clean, reasonably priced and the service is friendly. The menu is well done, not overdone and has enough choices for everyone. The shop next door is very nice and... More

I ate here for the first time recently. The food was not bad. Nothing too exciting. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. It's a small restaurant and the service was good.

We are local and decides to try this restaurant. It definitely caters towards the tourists. The food was ok , nothing special and quite pricey , but that was to be expected . They do offer daily specials and cheap alcoholic drinks.

I agree with other reviewers. The food is pretty good, but overpriced and the atmosphere is pretty loud. Dinner for 4 was about $75. We had the fried pickles and banana peppers appetizer - quite good. My unsweet tea was terrible (how could the south make such terrible tea?). The seafood chowder was delic. I paid about $5 for that.... More
