Name Change

This restaurant has changed its name to "Prime Thai". My food was very good and plentiful. I should have asked for a take out box in the beginning and only eaten half. I would go back to this restaurant again.

Food was good, atmosphere inside had no ambiance. Next time would just do takeout. From the outside you cant tell its a Thai restaurant, we were recommended to it by someone at the hotel we stayed at.

I enjoy going Dewey's Thai Cafe for supper with my boyfriend. I always get the same meal, which is a chicken with peanuts, and have never been disappointed (nor has my boyfriend and he likes the duck). Small, homey feeling makes this place a great little place to escape for a meal. Fast service and nice people.

Don't make the mistake we almost did. Not much curb appeal, which almost caused us to pass this place by. But this establishment puts effort where it counts most; on service, value, and product. Nice presentation of entrees. Good portions. Great prices. My pad thai was a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but this *is* the south... More

The food was just average at Prime Thai. It is no longer called Dewey's Thai Cafe. This restaurant would not be number one in any city where I'ved lived but this is Elkin after all. I don't know if I could attribute this to the Duck Pad Thai that I had at Prime Thai but I did have the runs... More

My wife and I have occasion to be in Elkin although we live out of state. My first choice of restaurants as we travel is Thai. I have eaten at many from coast to coast. Last week we ate at Prime Thai, as it is now called, after several other visits there. You don't need big or fancy to have... More

During a camping trip to nearby Stone Mountain State Park, we drove down to the 'city' to explore. After checking Trip Advisor we found Dewey's for lunch. Thai in Elkin, who knew! We noticed several civil servants coming out so we figured it had to be good. Good service and a great lunch menu. Tasty curry and a very good... More

We went here because of the ranking on TripAdvisor. It is a tiny place, almost uncomfortably so, in like an old Dairy Queen. No atmosphere, but the service was above par. Great waiter, accommodating staff. The food was ok. It was good, not bad but nothing to write home about. I had the crispy duck and it was a bit... More

I would recommend eating here. It's nothing fancy but the food is good and very affordable. We had two dinners iced tea and dessert for $30. Staff was friendly and prompt. If I was in the area I would stop here again. The business name changed to Prime Thai.

My husband and I were looking for something different and fresh on a business trip to Elkin and Dewey's did not disappoint! I had the Thai wonton soup to start and my husband had the spring rolls. The flavor development in the broth was amazing and my husband took no time devouring the spring rolls. For our main course I... More
