Unexpected surprise!

An incredible hip little place with great sandwiches, incredible homemade ice cream and the best cappuccino for many miles! I wish every town had such a great local establishment

This restaurant used to be fine dining but now has limited hours and meals to go, in addition to a few tables where you can dine in. They catered a lunch for our office last month, and we are re-heating a quiche tonight bought earlier today. They are talented cooks and the food is very good. We give it a... More

we drove to find this restaurant as it had good Trip Advisor reviews. On arrival we discovered a nice looking place. Lovely outside sitting area. However it was all closed up. Several other couples arrived at the same time as us about 6.30pm. We'd checked opening times before leaving. There was even a neon sign in the window saying OPEN.... More

We were really looking forward to dinner as it was very good in Dec. of 2014 when we were passing through town. Arrived before 8pm to find it locked up tight, and a local confirmed it has closed and will be sorely missed.

Sorry, we'd like to give it a higher rating but a self-service deli with a limited menu sounds easy but there was a confusing selection of signs explaining the sides and drinks. It was unclear that we could also order from the cold case for a side. The sandwiches were good but then we discovered we had to bus our... More

If you cannot eat at Shelton Vineyard, then I would say eat here. I felt the food was solid, the service sloppy. They were not busy-the weather was rainy, but we still had to ask and wait for things. I had a mixed green salad with goat cheese and a fig balsamic dressing that was very good. They struggled with... More

I first visited this restaurant 5 years ago on a wine trip through Yadkin Valley. It was a surprising treat - here in the middle of this little ghost town, a wonderful restaurant with exposed brick, decadent menu, exploding with atmosphere and great service. We got friendly with the sommelier who helped us make the best choices in wine and... More

We stayed in Elkin while touring the Yadkin Valley Vineyards for our anniversary week and had dinner here twice! Everyone we asked recommended this restaurant and it did not let us down! The food was impeccably cooked (scallops were my favorite!) Romantic patio seating area. We thoroughly enjoyed!!

My husband and I had been to this place a year ago and were looking forward to going back. We were in town with friends and all went for dinner. What a huge disappointment!!! No where near as good as it was the last time we were there. Had a reservation, but when we arrived they seemed a little confused... More

We recently had lunch at this restaurant while we were touring vineyards. All sandwiches and salads are made fresh when ordered. The artisan bread is also made locally. In addition, they have a wonderful selection of local wine and canned goods. The service was quick and very friendly. It's amazing when you have service with a smile!!! I highly recommend... More
