Family took a day trip to Elizabeth City, NC. Enjoyed the quaint downtown area, but were disappointed that the restaurant where we planned to lunch was closed. We called up this site and the family chose Sidney's Café. Great decision! Nice little place with lots of lunch choices. One of the teens ordered the Margherita flatbread and inhaled it. Another... After always going to the same three places in E-City, we decided to try something new and boy were we surprised! Sidney's is not your average sandwich/wrap cafe. Everything is fresh and very creative. I love all of their unique sauces! They also make their own pasta in-house! I had the shrimp scampi tonight that was a special and it... More

Thank you for your feedback. We need this info in order to get better. Sorry your experience was not up to par. Not sure when you visited, but due to many events last week our staff was very overwhelmed, but no excuse. Would hope you may give us a chance to improve. More

When we travel, we like to find local restaurants rather than chains. The downside of this is when we find a terrific place, we often cannot return. The only thing we can do is encourage others to enjoy what we cannot. I was going to order the meatloaf panini, but the fall salad special sounded too good to pass up.... More

I went to a workshop at the Museum of the Albemarle today. We had a short time for lunch, so I figured close would be best. Great choice. My pastrami sandwich was so good. The fries have excellent seasoning on them and their cookies are amazing. My waitress and the other staff were friendly and personable. I wish I lived... More

Sidney's is really elevating their menu for the evenings they are open for dinner. Thursday night it was a filet mignon, clams casino, risotto balls as specials. It is much quieter at night and it's in intimate little place to get a really good meal!

This place is a bright spot in an otherwise rundown looking downtown area. A great selection of sandwiches and salads on the menu to suit many tastes. I'm not a vegetarian but I don't eat a lot of meat and there was more than one choice of sandwich/wrap on the menu without meat which is rare! (But plenty for meat... More

I went there this past Saturday for lunch. Thankfully, we arrived slightly before noon as they began to get very busy for lunch and its a small place. I had the Rueben sandwich with homemade chips. Their chips were delicious! The sandwich was very good as well. My aunt had the special sandwich of the day, some sort of chicken... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us your experience. The bathrooms are not the best, but with an old building we get the bad with the good. Your comments are noted and hope we can do better next time. More
