Interesting place for lunch

I went there due to the reviews on tripadvisor for lunch. I had a meatloaf panini, which had a good flavor. I up-charged to a salad so I didn't have to eat fries or chips. The staff there seem to really serve to a more eclectic crowd in that they have some gluten free items etc. Did I walk out... read more

I have seen this little cafe change hands a few times over the past 12 years, but i have to say that the current owner has hit the mark. Great atmosphere and a very dedicated staff. You absolutely must try the cheeseburger meatloaf. This is perhaps my favorite sandwhich but everything I have tried has been delicious. They also have... More

Tucked away on Main Street in Elizabeth City, NC is a gem of a restaurant with warm decor, a knowledgeable staff, and food worth luxuriating over. A friend and I were participating in the first annual Elizabeth City Wine and Beer walk when we found Sidney’s. I had not, previously, explored much of the downtown waterfront of the area, and... Day two of our road trip from CT., final destination Southport, NC. We stopped for lunch in the town of Elizabeth City by the water. We parked the car and we're delighted to come across a quaint little cafe & bistro. It was 1:00 pm and the place was packed. There were two places available at the bar and we... More

Dinner was filet mignons perfectly cooked and pasta which was made fresh. The bread was also freshly made. You can taste the difference. Thursday night is now steak night and the last Wednesday of the month they offer wine and food pairings. I have been a fan of this little bistro since they opened and really thrilled with the new... Every dish my companions and I ordered was delicious. However we all left hungry because the portions are small and a bit expensive.

This cafe serves three meals a day, but we did not order from the normal menu. We went to a wine tatsting party hosted by the owner. The wine was great and there was plenty of it; however, the food came a little slow and was light. I would go again is the opportunity arose.

My husband and I visited Sidney's for the first time a few years ago. Since then we have regularly enjoyed the wonderfully prepared food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef is a genius with sauces and imaginative food selections. The "Wine Me Up" monthly special wine and food pairing has become one of our favorite dining experiences.

Family took a day trip to Elizabeth City, NC. Enjoyed the quaint downtown area, but were disappointed that the restaurant where we planned to lunch was closed. We called up this site and the family chose Sidney's Café. Great decision! Nice little place with lots of lunch choices. One of the teens ordered the Margherita flatbread and inhaled it. Another...
