Good food

Great food great prices but the service sometimes lets them down I've been several times and always enjoyed but every now and then the service is poor and you can left waiting

The food is local and prepared on site. It is very healthy compared to most restaurants. The waiters are very helpful in recommending foods to fit your health concerns.

We were in Durham for my nephews graduation from Duke. We were looking forward to dinner at Watts Grocery as so many people had enjoyed dinner there. Reservations were booked far in advance. A few days beforehand we received an email advising that they were not serving on their regular menu

Weekend brunch was on the menu for our group of eight. Some had breakfast, some had lunch, some had a mix, which was fine because the menu accommodated all of it! The Cobb Salad has fresh fried shrimp; the Country Ham Benedict had rich hollandaise; the Pimento Cheese was grilled to perfection! The restaurant uses food from local farms and... More

Amazingly good salad - very fresh. Best creamy deviled eggs I had. Was not expecting the shrimp to be fried but overall very satisfied and would definitely recommend and go there again.

We enjoyed dinner here with another couple we had not seen in a while . It is very noisy so if you are trying to talk ask for a quiet table up front . We all ordered fish and it was beautifully prepared . The spinach salad is a delicious starter. Service was very good. One warning : don't wear... More

There is no missing the southern influences on the menu at Watts Grocery but they are combined with beautifully fresh ingredients in interesting dishes that are very well prepared. We visited for lunch and it's a menu that has such appeal that it's hard to choose; sturdy man-pleasing dishes to lovely salads. One of us got a steak sandwich with... More

My friends in Durham took me here. They have a four month old. this place has great fresh items menu (limited) and great local brews. My friends enjoyed the Sangria. I had a pork loin that was fabulous and they enjoyed the sea bass and the flounder.

Located on Broad Street. Ample off street parking. Unpretentious interior. Pleasant, fast, attentive servers. The restaurant features the "nouvelle Southern" cuisine that has become very popular in so many southern cities, with about a half dozen appetizers and a half dozen main courses, along with a drink menu featuring a wide variety of wines, some beer, and about a half... Very nice restaurant with unique menu. It is not a large menu but there is a little something for everyone. Rabbit stew to pork shank to steak to seafood gives you an idea of the menu variety. Well prepared. Staff very pleasant and courteous
