No atmosphere mini menu and overpriced

Building looks like a remodeled store front done simple but comes off tacky. Menu is miniscule with less than 10 entrees, all with 12 word descriptions to allow them to raise the price. Fish was dry with no sauce or even a lemon wedge, rib eye was good but accompanying single veggie was unedible... read more

We went there for Saturday brunch. The brunch menu includes breakfast, brunch and lunch items. Food was delicious. We had shrimp and grits, huevos rancheros, and pimento cheese toasted sandwich. All of which we would highly recommend. What we liked were that the ingredients were obtained from local businesses when possible. Owner was hands on and was seating folks. He... More

My fiancé and I went here for Sunday brunch a little while ago. We read all sorts of good reviews, and it looked like a neat little place, so we were excited going in, but we left extremely disappointed. The waitress seemed nice, but for most of the time we were sitting down, she disappeared! We were ready to order... More

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Disappointed in the lack of selections. Menu at this particular time was limited. We had the churros and chocolate sauce which we all enjoyed. I had their version of a Cobb salad which came with fried shrimp. It was good. Two in our group had the Buffalo Catfish sandwich. They thought it was okay.... More

My group of seven tried nearly everything on the menu and it was all fabulous. Everything was fresh (pasta made in-house) and cooked to perfection. We really like that they support the local farms and businesses to bring you the freshest food possible. The quail, shrimp bruschetta, and mac-n-cheese appetizers were great, but the duck, pork loin, and shrimp pasta... More

This was our third visit to Watts Grocery. The interior is modest, but service is good and the food is great. The four of us split the quail breast and shrimp bruschetta appetizers; three had the duck breast entree, while one had the pork. Everything was excellent. This is clearly one of Durham's best restaurant.

We went for a friend's birthday dinner during restaurant week and I can't wait to go back. The food is incredibly fresh, local and delicious. The grilled Caesar Salad was different but still good. The fried catfish was the best I've ever had.

Casual place with friendly enough service. Our first visit was during restaurant week and I ordered from the prix fixe while my boyfriend ordered off the regular lunch menu. Serving sizes were more than fair; we easily shared almost everything. Seafood po' boy looked wonderful but was not very fresh with that distinctly fishy taste. If my boyfriend doesn't finish... Serving a special Restaurant Week menu in addition to their regular menu. Hickory Smoked Brisket was excellent, as was the berry pie for dessert. My colleagues ribeye was "soooo good". Just what she was looking for. Great dinner!
