The salmon was great, as was the pasta and soup. Really charming for what looks like a hole-in-the-wall place from across the street. Nice decor. With the fine food, why paper napkins and butter encased in plastic? Staff was attentive without hovering. No wait to be seated and my beverages were topped off without having to ask. Hope it lasts... More

Had a great time at Melo! I came back for an item from the lunch menu and they were able to acommodate my request. the staff is very friendly and helpful! Love the beer and wine selection they offer!!! Still, what makes my day is their freshly squeezed OJ (sometimes tangerine) and the tiramisu!

I was the recipient of a gift certificate from this restaurant and am so happy I got it! My husband and I had dinner here on Saturday night 6/21/14 and loved everything about it. The wait staff was fantastic, super attentive without being obnoxious. Even the additional support staff was talkative and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The food... More

We went as group of six. It started with bread, about the quality of cheap store bought rolls, warm but not hot. We got six different entrees. All lacked seasoning and flavor. Even the tomatoes were tasteless. Asked twice for some Parmesan and they never brought it. Service was poor. Since we were group of six they forced us to... More

Went in at 7pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. That is always a good sign. We had no reservations and had to wait about 20 minutes. The service was a little slow but it was to be expected coming at that hour with so many customers. The food was plenty and tasted great. We opted for tapas... More

Our experience was a bit different. I was not impressed. From the Parker house rolls not homemade, expensive, very ordinary garlic bread to the bland spaghetti carbonara with very fatty prosciutto, I can say I was very disappointed. There are way too many very good places to eat in Durham to settle for mediocre.

My wife and I enjoyed this restaurant prior to taking in a Duke game at Cameron Indoor. The menu selection was diverse, the prices were reasonable, and the food and service were very good. The wine list was a little overpriced for what was offered but this is a nice choice while in Durham.

A couple friends and I dined here on the Friday evening before Christmas. The restaurant was packed, so we knew this was a good sign! We were greeted by one of the wait staff who asked if we had a reservation. We did not, so we decided to wait 30 mins. for a table. There is no bar and there... More

This is a wonderful place to go relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and let the staff take care of you! The prices are reasonable for lunch and dinner, and the portions are just right.
