Using our extensive network of regional farmers and fishermen and our close friends in the wine business, we have tried to adapt the experience of a Parisian neighborhood restaurant to offer a unique dining experience. Our food is inspired by French tradition and seasonal, local produce. The wines we serve are all made by vignerons that we know personally, who themselves love food, and who craft their wine to showcase the specific terroir, while harmonizing with the meal. Most of our vignerons practice biodynamic or organic farming.

Our prix fixe dinner menu showcases the freshest ingredients the southeast has to offer, prepared simply and with care, served at a bargain price.

We also serve classic bistro and brasserie dishes a la carte. Our popular lunch and brunch services feature French-styled sandwiches, crepes, salads, and more.

We wanted an interesting meal before a concert. We were not disappointed. I enjoyed the liver pate and the salmon was prepared perfectly. My wife really liked the beef in a brandy cream sauce. We split the chocolate mouse which was incredible! We will definitely be back.

This was our second time eating at this restaurant and both times have been nice. I had the Oeufs Rue Cler (from the brunch menu), my husband had the Chicken Paillard and my son had the French Toast. For dessert we had some Beignets. The Oeufs Rue Cler tasted good and had very bold flavors. The only thing I thought could... More

We decided to try Rue Cler prior to seeing Lewis Black at DPAC, based on a recommendation from our daughter. Arrived 10 minutes past our reservation time but this was not a problem. Parking is also conveniently across the street in a public deck. My wife and I both did the Prix Fixe menu ($35) which consisted of a choice... More

It's been forever since I had dinner here (back when it first opened), I remember it being wonderful. Most recently I've gone for brunch. Once with a large group for a bridal shower and more recently catching up with girlfriends. It's one of my favorite places for brunch to be sure. I love that they serve beignets . And between... In 2007 I gave this restaurant a poor review but in the past year we've had a lunch and dinner here that were excellent. Much improved! The restaurant, however, is small and if you get stuck at a table in the back near the bright lights and swinging door of the kitchen you'll be sad and irritated.

I had read so much about this restaurant that we scheduled to meet an old friend there for a special dinner. The setting is nice enough, but everything else was just OK. The wine list is overwhelmingly French, as it should be, and the selections of bottles is very good. Wine by the glass selections, however, were limited. My wife... More

This is a fun place to eat, especially for Sunday brunch on a lovely day. We like to eat out on the patio. The mussels are always excellent but the whole menu is good.

This gem of a bistro nestled in downtown Durham is not to be missed! The incredible menu, including a wonderful prefix dinner of three courses for $35, is amazing. I dined here several nights during my visit, and was never disappointed. Courses include soups, such as onion and potato leek, both excellent. The pate is marvelous, the short rib, though... More

A great place for brunch and dinner at such reasonable prices - just a bit more than Cracker Barrel! One of the best parts of brunch is the beignets, but also great is the fresh squeezed OJ, fresh fruit, real maple syrup and strong coffee. Nice atmosphere and a bit loud so you can bring kids and not worry about... More
