Recommend by coworker!

A coworker recommend Chamas and I would do the same! Great Brazilian style food (rodizio) that is a buffet plus meat sliced at the table. Very tasty if slightly expensive. Great friendly service and fast with drinks! The atmosphere is very nice. The restaurant is spacious and well laid out... read more

Took my boyfriend there for his birthday, first time for both of us. We were greeted by a very happy hostess that ushered us to our table promptly. Our guide for the evening, Bonet was so bubbly, charming and informative. She asked us all the questions she needed to get us started. We went to the salad bar that we... More

I took my 12 year old son out for 'date night' and thought this would be a fun place for him. We were ushered in and treated like royalty - my son thoroughly enjoyed himself, and having the men come and offer up the various meats. They were also happy to bring repeats of anything we asked for. He also... More

My friend and I thought we would try a restaurant neither of us had been to during Triangle Restaurant Week since it gives you the opportunity to try new places for good prices. This was a great find. The salad bar had fresh salad greens, veggies, cheese, and soup. All very fresh and flavorful. Then the meat begins. The Gauchos... More

To many people the commonly used name of “Brazilian steakhouse” might be somewhat misleading, since a churrascaria has nothing to do with an American steakhouse (except that the meats are grilled). Chamas of Durham, according to a Carioca friend with whom we recently had dinner there, provides as authentic a Brazilian experience as allowed by the availability of ingredients here.... More

Extensive wine list, 36 fresh items on salad bar, skewers of meat all well prepared. Sirloin, lamb, pork, sausage. Between 4 and 5 stars. Lacks a bit of the selection and polish of the chain Brazilians, but makes up for it with a bit more personality.

Recently visited Chamas while on business in Durham. Service was excellent! Salad bar was extensive with various cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables along with hot soup and other items. Meats are great, and plenty! My favorite was filet wrapped in bacon! Go hungry and take your wallet ! Pricey but Great! Enjoy

We took our son to this restaurant to celebrate his junior year at Duke University. He had never experienced a Brazilian steakhouse and I am so glad this one was his first! The food was terrific, the atmosphere very nice and the service was gracious and welcoming. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! Save room for the top sirloin.... More

This was my first trying a Brazilian steakhouse and I was beyond excited to go. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Meats were fresh and delicious and so was the salad bar. I just wish there was more variety of salads and veggies. Fresh fruit would have been a great addition. I will be going back.

After hearing about this restaurant from my work colleagues I was glad to find out Chamas was a part of Restaurant Week! My family and I had dinner there last night and had a blast!
