Definitely the best "pub food" in Durham; although you would never call it pub food; it's gourmet and great, whether it's the burgers or something more exotic. Good beer selection. Nice small seating outside, although right on Main Street. Inside's a little smoky. more
The Federal is a favorite with locals, so there must something appealing about it. I just don't know what it is. Make no mistake, this is NOT a restaurant.
