Out last southern BBQ joint wasn't great but this place made up for it. When we sat down the waitress brought a basket of hush puppies. They were excellent, I had to stop eating before I filled up on them. The chopped BBQ was chopped pretty fine. It had good flavor and the sauce at the table was vinegary and... More

First time to this restaurant expecting to be immersed in BBQ but wound up ordering fried chicken and catfish after seeing what the locals were ordering............that and Brunswick stew. I have always preferred the vinegar based bbq but forgot all about it when I tackled the chicken and catfish, absolutely terrific. Our party sampled several dishes and the only one... More

I am a North Carolina native and all our BBQ came from either Clyde Coopers/downtown Raleigh which has now been demolished or Bullocks when we wanted the all you can eat buffet. Until about 5 years ago, it could not be beat for the family style BBQ, fried chicken, stew and veggies but after several disappointments, we no longer visit.... More

Great place for those who like traditional NC barbecue. Cash only but they have an ATM on site. Save room for the banana pudding but I'd pass on the ribs.

I have family that lives in the area and every time we visit, we can't wait to go to Bullock's Barbecue. We always get the BBQ combination plate of bbq pork, fried chicken and slaw all topped with their homemade barbecue sauce. I like their spicy sauce, to me it makes the whole plate better, it is a bit spicy... More

Great BBQ and fresh vegetables.. Many celebrities have gone there to eat. Good pulled pork and ribs. They also have bbq chicken. Wait staff are nice and provide good service. Usually closed on Mondays though.
