The people are lovely, the decor is 'neighborhood", the ambiance is exactly what it should be, the food is excellent, the bread is outstanding and the dressing for the (ordinary lettuce) salad is excellent. if you want Italian food anywhere in a 20 mile radius (walking) or 40 mile radius (driving) this is the place. the wine list is small,... Nice Italian resto with an authentic approach to food. Our favorites are the fresh rolls and house dressing!!! Big servings so make sure you come hungry, otherwise, share a plate with someone!

This is a great little spot for lunch. We showed up around 12:30 and chose a booth near the front. They were busy but we got our food in a timely manner. My lunch-mate ordered the Pollo al Ferri salad, which came with marinated chicken, strips of provolone cheese, and choice of dressing. It looked good, and he was very... More

We are proud "damn Yankees" that love real Italian and this place reminds us of the family run Italian restaurants we grew up with in Chicago and Boston. So happy to find this place! Excellent for families, kids, and singles! If you're looking for REAL homemade Italian, go here! You will not be disappointed.

We tried Pulcinella's for the first time last night and we had a wonderful meal! The pizza was great, the bread was delicious, and the wine was perfect. The meal reminded us of our meal in Naples so this was a treat.

I read the reviews of this restaurant on TA and decided to try it. My husband had the mussels and loved then. They had my favorite wine, Lambrusco. The service was excellent. My bowtie pasta and meat sauce was very good. Not heavy at all. Will go back

Do not judge this restaurant by the exterior! Stopped in while staying overnight in Durham. Small place, but very friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Prices moderate. The house dressing is a must try. Had the pasta with garlic and olive oil. Sounds simple, but it was delicious. The rolls and dipping oil were also wonderful. Too full to try dessert,... More

Great crust! They even have a vegan pizza which I tasted and it was very good. The lentil soup was not so good - very bland. Excellant service. Great family place.

I had the pleasure of dining at Pulcinella's for my second time last evening. This casual, family owned and operated Italian restaurant was the perfect place for a group of colleagues to gather and talk and enjoy the fabulous food and wine. The menu is varied and the staff is attentive. They offer recommendations on everything from the wines to... More

Just moved to the area so we're experimenting with trying a new place every week. This was the first Italian restaurant we visited and we may have found the best one first! The service was excellent to start out, then slowed a bit because the place got so crowded after 6PM. That alone tells you the food is good --... More
