A couple friends and I dined here on a busy Friday evening. The parking lot was completely full, so we had to ride around for a couple minutes to wait for a parking spot to become available. I drove us across the street as there are several shops. Signs are posted: "If you park here and walk across the street,... More

No frills here. The dining room is not great. But, I always get takeout, so that doesn't matter. The food is very good. Lots more than just pork barbecue. The brisket is great, so is the turkey. The sides are fantastic - the jack cheese cream spinach is one of my faves.

This was a great BBQ joint. The portions were big and prices were great. I got the Q Cobb salad and my man friend got the pulled chicken sandwich. He said the bread was delish and we both loved the hush puppies. A yummy place to eat some good grub!

This is one of the best places for BBQ in NC. The brisket is great, the mac & cheese is wonderful, and the BBQ sauce is really good. Parking is tight and the seating is limited for the business they do.....but if you are in the Durham area this is a must stop!

We agree with the reviews. This was a great place for barbeque. We tried the pulled pork and chicken. The flavor was very good, but the chicken was dry. We couldn't pass up sampling the great sides and ordered baked beans, sweet potato tater tots, collard greens, fried okra, deviled eggs and peach cobbler. All were very tasty. The hush... More

It is true- get there before 11:30 or after 1:30 because parking is a premium at this casual, authentic BBQ. I tried the chopped brisket with a side of coleslaw and the daily special .... sweet potato tater tots. Brisket was delicious - tender- excellently seasoned - some of the best I have ever tasted. The tots - a definite... More

My favorite is the BBQ brisket, but the pulled pork is a close second. Not a fancy place, but the line moves quickly, the portions are generous, and the quality is outstanding.

I am not a big fan of NC pulled pork. When I am in Durham we have dinner at least once at the Q Shank, this is Texas BBQ brisket with deviled eggs. You have to like Brisket to enjoy the restaurant. I have never tried their version of pulled pork. The party packages are pretty well priced for the... More

I read the reviews on Tripadvisor & chose to eat here based on what I read. My daughter and I shared a 3 meat plate & had plenty to eat. The flavors were great, meat was moist & was happy we chose to visit. We were not fans of the beans but enjoyed everything else. If you like BBQ, check... More

In an area known for great barbeque, the Q Shack stands out as exceptionally good. Their pulled pork and brisket are both good, but my favorite is the pulled chicken, which is smoky, moist and delicious. The side dishes are also very good - if they happen to be serving the sweet potato tater tots when you visit, be sure... More
