Excellent prix fixe special at 5:30

Excellent hanger steaks with fries and a generous pot of croque madame. Decadent chocolate mousse or lemon tart for dessert. Professional, cordial staff.

If you've even thought about trying Vin Rouge, get with it and visit today. This is the real McCoy. You will not be disappointed with the authentic cuisine found here. Very quaint, but able to accommodate your family and friends in a way that make you feel like you're the only guests there. The staff was knowledgable and friendly, offering... More

I have eaten here many times and each time I am impressed. This time, the pork was browned perfectly and it arrived with juice oozing out of the sizzling meat. It was very tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes were complemented perfectly by the braised purple cabbage. My dining companion had the roast chicken which was cooked perfectly as well.... More

A very French garden, which you can dine there. The oysters were fresh and tasty. Duck confit was really great. I do not know why it was put in the salad section. It can be a wonderful main course, whatever. They also served good steak. Wines were wonderful. The lemon tart and dessert wine were good. To try dinner at... More

Dinner with a client, whereas decided to forgo reservations and eat at bar. Bartender was a great help, not being familiar with French food. He did a good job explaining the offerings. Also very helpful with beverages, whereas I wanted a conventional American beer, but they only seem to have a variety of french beers. Asking what I liked, he... More

My husband and I decided to brunch here on a whim on Sunday. The atmosphere is superb - the heavy curtains, uneven flooring, and French prints make the place really feel Parisian! Their brunch menu is also incredibly affordable for the quality of food and their wine list is, to be expected, superb. Be ready to spend minimum $10 on... More

Went to Vin Rouge, one of Durham's top restaurants, to celebrate Bastille Day with friends. It was excellent as usual. Pleasant venue with pleasantly of room between tables so you don't feel you are on top of each other. Service was great...not rushed, but always nearby when we wanted something. The food! We started with a charcuterie for the table.... More

An authentic French feel to this lovely restaurant sets the tone for an equally great meal. Nice wine selection, great bread and very diverse food choices. I couldn't make up my mind so I went with vichyssoise (potato/leek soup served cold) which was really good. Next, I went with liver. REALLY good. My tablemates all had different items that they...
