Great Sunday Brunch in Durham!

Highly recommend this restaurant for very good food overall. However, I recently became aware of the restaurant serving Sunday Brunch. This is hard to fine in the Durham area especially for a place that is not fast food. The restaurant serves most items you would expect for a served Sunday brunch... read more

Four of us chose the fixed price menu. The vegetables on the sausage entree were cool; the hanger steaks were "funny" tasting. Service and ambience were great.

This is hard to fine in the Durham area especially for a place that is not fast food. We are locals and have enjoyed the past few weekends by having brunch at Vin Rouge. We are restauranteurs and are pretty picky, but Vin Rouge always pleases :) The service is top notch and the atmosphere is very French, yet laid back in a Southern Style. The menu has something for everyone and the wine list is great for... More

We went because we heard so many good reviews; did not share those reviews; found it to be expensive, especially given the small portion sizes. The food was good - not great, but good. Convenient location, nice ambience inside; service slow and a little discombobulated when it's a larger group (we went twice; first time there were only 4 of... More

good food, nice ambience, good drinks. Pricey if you order a number of courses but you can also have a delicious appetizer(mussels in our case) - And a drink.

This was our first time to Vin Rouge (on our way to a trip into nearby Fayetteville) - to stop at Vin Rouge after our flight into Raleigh. Everything was Perfect! We sat outside on a very pleasant evening. The service was impeccable! With dietary restrictions they were extremely helpful and attentive. Our table of three ordered different entrees. I... More

What a surprise. An excellent restaurant in what seemed to be an old gas station or something similar. We had starters, a main and shared a desert along with an excellent bottle of wine. The waiter was friendly and attentive and made for a great dining experience. My favorite was a salad that came with a warm semi-soft egg that... More

We love this restaurant and planned to celebrate a birthday here. The champagne by the glass was awful. Too warm and very tart. The escargot was wonderful as was my husband's dinner. I had looked forward to the trout since my last visit. It was almost dry. Sadly, our waitress failed to keep an eye on us. Drinks were slow... More

We had reservations weeks in advance knowing that during graduation season all restaurants would be packed with people. We had a table for 6. They seated us right next to the serving kitchen. It was SO SO SO loud. You could barely hear the person next to you if you were trying to have polite conversation. We were there around... More

The covered outside dining added to our recent experience at Vin Rouge. A beautiful night complemented the excellent food, service and wine. We started with a bountiful meat and cheese plate matched to a fruitful Rhone wine recommended by the wait staff. With the size of the appetizer, I ordered the french onion soup as my main course. It was... More
