A Must Go To Restaurant

It's worth the ride no matter where you live so make arrangements, get a DD and go! The food in this restaurant is authentic and outstanding. We had Shrimp Provençal and the Salad with friend egg is to die for! We sat at the bar and the bartender and is drinks are outstanding! Great variety on... read more

Difficult to rate. A quaint setting with an interior like an old house plus an outside area. We were seated inside by reservation and noted at the outset how noisy the room is to the extent that cross table conversation was difficult. As to the meal the table had two steaks and one of the night's halibut specials. The steaks... More

Being French,...this really didn't feel like home. Overall products are good, but most were served either too greasy or too salty. Avoid eating inside as the grill odor will stench your clothing... Dinner was not awful but a real lot too expensive for the average food.

I came here while planning my move to Durham from Europe and was pretty disappointed. Their French-ish dishes are too greasy, and the whole place smells like frying oil. We got one of the cheaper wines that the waiter hesitated on, and it was actually really good.. I just got the feeling they were trying to push something pricier.

Since Vin Rouge had come highly recommended both by friends and by most of the Trip Advisor reviewers, we were looking forward to our first dinner there. Disappointing is perhaps the kindest word I can use. I love good French sauces, but here the sauces are overpowering. "Now what am I eating below this? Fish, fowl?" I never order grilled... More

I love steak, therefore, it has to be done correctly. I wouldn't say it was done correct or incorrect; you decide...I ordered it medium rare. In some places it was medium rare, other places it was medium. I ordered a salad and paid the $2 extra to have it split between me and another at my table. Then I was... More

We enjoyed three appetizers for our table of five that included the celebrated Mac and cheese (it really is as good as everyone says), a plate (a bit on the course side) and bacon confiture, rich with carmelized onions. All delicious, but probably one too many given the size of the entrees. For the main course our table had the... More

My husband and I have eaten here 2-3 times a year for the past 5 years and have never been disappointed. Food is always good. Desserts are divine. One time we disagreed with the amount of salt the kitchen had applied to a dish and the kitchen remade the dish quickly and without debate. Don't miss out on the tried... More

The people working here are really nice and very helpful. They suggested me to order the NY Strip which came out just rightly medium.
