We loved Vin Rouge so much on our first visit. We had a terrific waitress and the meal was divine! I had the mussels and frites (they do need to have mayonnaise or aioli in true French fashion, though!) and my Husband had the fish special. Wine list is wonderful and our server was great. Our second visit was three... More

I love this restaurant!! We dine here every time we are near Durham!! Great service and lovely atmosphere. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed... I especially love the escargot. Yum!!

I'd only go back to Vin Rouge for drinks and appetizers - we had three apps (shrimp, clams, and a country pate) between the two of us and they were all very tasty. The a la carte main dish that followed was below par (a tasteless gruyere macaroni and cheese with soggy lardons) and once you add in a vegetable,... More

Good food! We got to try things we've never had before like snails and liver. The chocolate soufflé was fabulous! The mussels with chorizo, also fantastic! Amazing sausages too! Great wine selection! Overall a great experience! We'll go back for a special occasion.

The food is excellent, but the table is what I'll remember most about the experience. I would not recommend sitting in the first room. Very tight and noisy. I forgot to ask for the table number, but if you call request the large table in the back room. It's perfect for parties of 6-8. 10 may be tight but I'd... More

Great place to have Sunday Brunch (actually, the only meal I've had there, so far). A uniquely styled venue. There is outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant, indoor seating that has some "tight" locations, a nice "roomier" space in the back and additional outdoor seating on the side of the building. We arrived and were asked if we... More

I recently visited Raleigh for business. My colleague had never been to NC, so I wanted to introduce him to a culinary treat. Unfortunately, my restaurant of choice was closed on Sunday. Using trip advisor, I searched for establishments that were open on Sunday (easier said than done). Vin Rouge was the first to meet my criteria...and I'm glad it... More

I am so glad that I decided to try out Vin Rouge on my business trip to the Durham area. This is one of the best french restaurants that I've been to. I had the escargot which were perfectly cooked (very tender) and seasoned. For my main dish, I ordered the Ribeye au Poivre and it was really good. The... More

Vin Rouge is probably our favorite place in Durham. We especially like sitting at the bar and eating the oysters and other small plates. Although, occasionally we will go for a full meal there or at a table. The oysters on the have shell selection is always good. So are the specialty cocktails and wines.

Amazing setting, one of my favorite date/nicer spots in Triangle. service is immaculate. French onion soup, salads, and sea food are consistently excellent.
