Excellent!!!

The food has a Mediterranean flare. I ate the braised short ribs. Absolutely the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was intimate and warm. Our server was attentive and made the evening wonderful. Five stars!!! This is an outstanding place. A true gem.

My wife and I have been frequent diners at Parizade. We even have a mini tradition of having the Easter and Mother's Day brunch. We usually have friends join us. We regret that we had the Easter brunch this Easter. But, I am glad that none of our friends joined us this year for Easter brunch. It was a total... More

I just finished dining at Parizade with my monthly brunch group for their Eater Brunch. My monthly brunch group is comprised of professional women, and we have been meeting for over a year now. We often have 3-hour dining sessions so that we can reconnect, as we all lead busy lives. To date, Parizade is the only restaurant in which... More

Large restaurant with open floor plan. Bare walls, fairly noisy. Service attentive. We split the Caesar Salad and the grilled octopus with onions, potato, and olive appetizer. Salad was fresh, dressing not from a bottle, and the octopus was not overly fishy. For dinner we had the lamb in orzo pasta, the tuna, and the crabcakes. The lamb pasta was... More

The place was packed, and as such unfortunately we had to wait 30 minutes for our table (despite having a reservation). The only disappointment was that the hostess kept telling us to wait just a few more minutes...instead of suggesting we wait in the bar. After waiting 15 minutes, we said we were going to wait in the bar. The... More

Love the electricity in this place. You can see the kitchen from most tables and get a sense of the professionalism and pride of the cook staff. Crowded the night we went but were efficiently seated and served. I do wish the food choices we made were better. Seafood risotto was a tomato based dish which I did not realize... More

We had not been to Parizade in a while and thought it might be nice for Valentine's Day. Not so much. We were seated promptly at a microscopic table for two. Right beside us was an obnoxious Philadelphian who must have thought everyone cared about his life story. My wife ordered a nice glass of Tempranillo and I ordered a... More

We have been dining here for years. The waiter was nonchalant at best for our Valentine's Day dinner. We had to stop him to ask for another glass of wine. The wine list was very good. The salmon appetizer was disappointing. The beef was the wrong temperature but was quickly made right. No seasoning kept it short of very good.

Cafe Parizade has been in Durham a long time. The restaurant is extremely fun to be in and in warm months there is seating outdoors. The food does vary from excellent to mediocre on a given night. There are rooms for renting, and it is a lovely place for wedding events. Great for an evening with friends or a loved... More

My husband and I ate here prior to taking in the Diana Ross show at DPAC. A beautiful dining room with excellent service. The appetizer-calamari, was delicious. My husband had Paella and I have the special- sheep head red snapper. Everything was delicious. The service was prompt and the overall experience was excellent. Will definitely plan to eat here again.
