Great restaurant. The service was impeccable! Was with a group of 9. Every dish was perfectly prepared and professionally served. Elegant atmosphere. Would definitely return again. Not to be missed if you are in Durham.

Chef Shane and Sous Chef Jeff cooked a spectacular dinner last night - every course was delicious !!! The staff and ambience were just the best - could not have asked for anything better!

My wife and and another couple had dinner last night at Four Square for my wife's belated birthday. WE allowed Shane Ingram to pick the menu and Brandon to pick the wines. We spent 3 hours enjoying every bite - a summer salad with fresh fruit, a tile fish cooked to perfection and then lamb cooked perfectly. The dessert was... More

I ate at this restaurant at the invitation of a business I volunteer for. The restaurant is in a historical house and it is beautiful. The service was impeccable. The food was perfection itself. I can't wait to go back.

The restaurant looks like it may have been a very large home at one time. It's really nice and has a screened in porch which is a huge plus. It is fine dinning and the staff is very helpful and accommodating.

There are many wonderful restaurants in Durham, and I'd always heard this was one of the best. But we never got around to actually trying it (and we've been here for 8 years). Last night my husband took me there for my birthday dinner. It was fantastic. For starters, my husband chose the goat cheese with gazpacho (strawberry, yellow tomato,... More

We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant: yes, it was definitely expensive (fixed-price for Mother's day weekend), but the food was delicious and some clever flavors were used for all of the dishes. They definitely try to use fresh, local food, which is appreciated, and I like the converted house style. The service was also attentive without begin overbearing.... More

We were kept waiting 30 mins with no apology and table had to be changed. Food and waitress very good, took a while to arrive. Good ambience but very expensive for what it was. A shame that poor management let the evening down.

And absolutely great food, very well prepared. But your finances will take a toll... Still, a place well worth visiting.

Went here on a Saturday night. Service is pretty attentive without being obtrusive. Food is inventive without being over-the-top. Atmosphere is formal without being stuffy. I had the spinach salad followed by the snapper special followed by the bananas ganache. The chicken also received high marks from the table. All in all, a very enjoyable evening.
