Can I eat the menu?

We have dined at Nana's twice and a third will be coming up next month. On the advice of a friend during Move-in week for Duke University in August we dined here for the first time. We did not have a reservation so were lucky to get a table in the bar area. The second time we had a reservation... read more

Everything from the drinks, server knowledge of the menu and wine list, the food and the atmosphere was top shelf. One of the finest restaurants we have eaten n.

Went to Durham to see the play Wicked and had to try this place due to good reviews. It is all it was hyped up to be and more. I'm the wino and foody and my husband is a meat and potatoes guy. Well, they made each of us happy and he said that this steak was the best he... More

Our visit was great all around. The staff was all friendly our server was a trip, she was awesome. The oyster stew was delectable and the rabbit ad duck was mouth watering! I will definitely be back!

Went in and sat at one of the high tables near the bar without a wait. We ordered roast chicken and braised lamb, along with a potato gnocchi appetizer. Food was perfect, service wonderful. My new favorite nice restaurant in Durham. (Replacing Watts Grocery, which replaced Magnolia Grill when it closed.)

Eat here often and it's one of the best restaurants anywhere. Great food and great service. One of my all time favorites.

The menu was heavily influenced by Southern Cooking and loaded with options containing duck fat, beans, greens, fried food, bean succotash, crowder peas & wilted mustard greens, etc. One of our guests received 4 lamb chops and another received only 2 lamb chops for the same dish. There were six of us eating and it wasn't to our taste. The... More

We took our in-laws and 15 month old to dinner here during the winter holidays, something that is definitely possible to accomplish. Though this is definitely a nicer and higher end restaurant for the area, the wait staff is not haughty in any way and were more than willing to accommodate and help us entertain our young toddler. The food... More

I don't dine out as often as most folks. I enjoy cooking and find that many places only serve mediocre food. Nana's is the exception. The food here continues to be outstanding and the #1 ranking for Durham dining is well deserved. Not only is there a nice diversity in the menu, the food quality and prep is always of... More

This is our go-to restaurant. We prefer the bar which, in addition to bar space, includes several bistro tables. One of the reasons we prefer the bar is Brad Weddington, bartender, and Graham Weddington, waiter extraordinaire, who take exemplary care of us. Scott Howell, Chef/Owner, and his kitchen staff never fail to present us with perfectly scrumptious offerings of duck,... More
