Plan on a second visit!

Wanted a nice lunch before heading to DPAC for The Book of Mormon, so found this place on Google. Totally impressed. Good selection of food. Really good food with just a twist off from the typically named dishes. The husband had a Eggs Benedictine that he raved about. He also loved the home fries... read more

Nice spot downtown for drinks, supper, dessert and music. Black bean medallions were really good - pico contained fresh ingredients as well as fresh jalapeños. Wings were tender and flavorful as well. Owners/managers came around and chatted with guests, which was a nice touch. Beyu offers live music on many evenings. Offers many coffee/espresso drinks and desserts - ours was... More

Went for breakfast. Had the beignets, and the chorizo tacos. Beignets were fine, but I should have ordered them with the raspberry puree and honey option. They needed some sweetness. Chorizo tacos were good. But not outstanding. Service was swift and friendly. I'd return.

We wanted a great Sunday brunch, after spending the night at a Durham hotel. Beyu was recommended, and it was a great choice. Had an omelette with spinach, sausage and cheese, with home fries. Also a delicious order of fresh, hot beignets (yum!) and great coffee in really large coffee cups. Service was really great. The restaurant is known for... More

Had the Beignets and a breakfast sandwich one day and shrimp and grits the next day. The kitchen seems a bit slow but the servers hustle and kept me updated on my order. This can be a quick in and out type of place or place where you can linger with a book... I did both and am happy that... More

We dined a few doors down at Taberna Tapas (excellent) and their espresso machine was broken. So, our server recommended we go to Beyu for coffee. What a great find! The atmosphere was not that of a regular coffee shop. You could order food, coffee, cocktails, and dessert. We had some of the best specialty coffee drinks anywhere. Their seasonal... More

I went to this restaurant with 7 friends. The waitress was really nice and the order came out fairly quick. I was pleased with the taste and the presentation of my food. I would recommend and visit this café again.
