Good service, good guitar performance

The waitress was quite friendly and experienced. Hamburgers were fine, but slightly overcooked beef. Chicken wings were good. The special coffee drinks were great and unique, not seen elsewhere. I was lucky to enjoy the live heavenly guitar performance. I shall come back.

After being shunned by another local place that wasn't open yet, we popped in seeking mimosas - yippee! We were greeted by a new hostess but friendly and soft spoken who promptly seated us. CiCi was our server and she was really the star. She brought us our mimosas (special ordered by the way) and told us about the omelet... More

This place has all that one could want for a work-day lunch. Excellent food (try the beignets, burgers and shrimp & grits). Warm, kind, wonderful staff. Comfortable, welcoming, slightly bohemian ambiance.

This is not a frozen pattie. Felt very fresh. Also their chicken salad with hot beans on the side awesome. Looks like a old place but has the stuff.

Stopped here twice when I was working in downtown Durham, first for a beer, later for lunch. The local beer wasn't to my taste, and the service was slow and lackadaisical. It was the middle of the afternoon and the place was almost empty. The next day, a friend took me there for lunch, and I had the Southwest chicken... More

Though had visited this establishment many times prior for Breakfast & Lunch, Saturday nites Dinner there was a big disappointment! Though the selections sounded delicious/tasty, actual preparation left alot to be desired - FAIR would be an accurate descriptor...examples= lumpy shrimp & grits...a watery tomatoe - baste shrimp "creation" over saffron rice in need of flavoring/seasoning..all for the price of... Don't get me wrong.... the food here is really great so I recommend it for lunch or dinner. However, it's also a live music venue on some nights of the week and I believe in supporting live music. On weekends they have live acts and offer two seatings (8 PM and 10 PM). I decided on the 8 PM seating... More

We stumbled into the Beyu Caffe in the early afternoon last Sunday and had a great light brunch of beignets, burger and beer. My companion and I split everything (excep the beer!) and they were gracious about that - dividing the burger and salad elegantly before they brought it to the table. Both food and service at the Beyu Caffe... More

We spent the weekend in Durham and after looking at the menu decided to try Beyu Cafe for Mother's Day family breakfast. It was terrible. I had a spinach, tomato and cheddar omelet that was lukewarm and oily tasting. The home fries were just deep fried potato chunks that were also cold and dry. The sausage patties were cold and... This coffee shop and restaurant in Downtown Durham has s nice sit down area for breakfast and coffee with full service wait staff. The menu is limited, but the food was very nicely done. And the large latte cup was HUGE and had good flavor. It looks like the place is set up for music at night and has a... More
