We really enjoy going to G2B. Our favorite is the charcuterie, but we find it difficult to choose the items because they all are tempting. In addition, I had the bone marrow appetizer plate and found it really good. Our waiter was very helpful, friendly and attentive. We look forward to our next trip to Durham and going again.

Chef Carrie at G2B Gastro Pub just rocks the Casbah. This has to be our new fave locally, even better than Mateo. We've been there several times and it keeps getting better. Last night I loved a braised lamb shank served in a small cast iron pot over polenta cooked with ricotta, cashews and spices. It was an amazing combo... More

We were treated with hostility and deferment on our visit to this restaurant. Several of my family had flown into town to celebrate our nephew's studio launch. Trying to find a reservation for 12 on a Saturday is difficult, this business said we could come but we had to be there by 6 pm. I called ahead to see if... More

Friendly service, innovative interior design, great food. Particularly enjoyed the vermilion snapper with ginger. Chive scones gorgeous too.

Highly recommended. The burger is one of the best I've had anywhere. The beer selection is great. They know their stuff and they will brewing their own beer very soon. Food is one notch above most other places in Durham and among the best in the area. Beer dinners are fantastic and this is where you'll get the best of... More

Went on a Friday to see the live jazz band in the back. Everything was perfect: food, wine, and especially excellent service. The band was great and they actually keep the live band in a separate room away from the main dining area. I would suggest asking if there is live music, since it seemed to be almost tucked away... This is a great place for drinks and shared plates. We had the clams which were out of this world, the pork belly and a cheese plate. For dessert, you can't go wrong with the toffee sticky pudding. It was devine.

We're regulars at G2B and eat here probably every other week. I guess you might think that would reflect a bias, but let me ask you -- how or why does somebody become a regular at a restaurant? I'll tell you -- excellent food, outstanding service, a warm and friendly staff, and a consistently positive experience. Huge plusses for me... More

This was our second visit to the restaurant. We truly enjoyed our first experience and one of the beers and the charcuterie & cheese really stuck with us. We were in town to go to a show and my spouse suggested going there. Even though it was a little out of our way and even though we felt a little... More

We had dinner at this restaurant with friends. Food was good. We had appetizers and small plates only. They cure all the meats in the house and that is a plus. The wine choices were good and reasonably priced. We will visit again.
