Our waiter/the service ruined this dinner. We picked a place close to the Forests of Duke to treat two great women in their 90's to dinner. Little did we know that our waiter would act as if the 6 seat minimum meant 20% in his pocket regardless of the terrible service he provided. First, we were asked about drinks. When... More

Went there tonight for dinner. Not sure what the actual problem was, but it got COLDER in the dining area while we were eating. Was 54 degrees by their thermostat - felt much colder than that. Other than the challenged climate control, the food was excellent, the drink selection was excellent and the server was very gracious Fix the HVAC... More

Concept restaurant of tasty smaller plates and good reasonably priced wine started by a cardiologist whose family runs high end establishment in Tel Aviv. Related to One Restaurant in Chapel Hill but much better lighting and ambiance. Food is delicious. Fresh well selected oysters and red drum. Home made cardamon ice cream. Outstanding draft beer selection. Nice modern setting except... More

We found this place by accident and gave it a chance for date night. We were pleasantly surprised. Don't be fooled by its location in an office building. Once you step inside, you feel the contemporary ambience. From the lighting to the lounge area to the train station - style menu board, it's obvious there was thought put into the... More

My wife and I stopped for lunch and were surprised by the upscale atmosphere for "Pub and Beer House". The menu is eclectic in a good way. Lunch is a limited menu. I chose the cheese and meat sampler plate, disappointed that I could not choose the selection but very happy with the chef's selections. Good selection of beer. The... More

Four of us started off with a charcuterie platter and sort of a tempura artichoke hearts dish. Delish. Then we each ordered a different entree and shared bites. One steak, one lamb, one chicken, one fish. No duds in our opinions. Also nice selection of wines and beers. It is a "sports bar" in the sense that there are huge... More

We really enjoy going to G2B. Our favorite is the charcuterie, but we find it difficult to choose the items because they all are tempting. In addition, I had the bone marrow appetizer plate and found it really good. Our waiter was very helpful, friendly and attentive. We look forward to our next trip to Durham and going again.

Chef Carrie at G2B Gastro Pub just rocks the Casbah. This has to be our new fave locally, even better than Mateo. We've been there several times and it keeps getting better. Last night I loved a braised lamb shank served in a small cast iron pot over polenta cooked with ricotta, cashews and spices. It was an amazing combo... More

We were treated with hostility and deferment on our visit to this restaurant. Several of my family had flown into town to celebrate our nephew's studio launch. Trying to find a reservation for 12 on a Saturday is difficult, this business said we could come but we had to be there by 6 pm. I called ahead to see if... More
