Great food and ambience, but you pay for it!

I've been here a few times now, and enjoy it every time. The food is prepared well, always interesting, the ambiance very nice. They have a microbrewery now, the beer I had was very good. Be prepared to spend some money though, because it is pretty expensive for the serving size you get.

As an almost-vegetarian, this was NOT the place to visit! Although the menu was quite extensive, the entree choices were quite limited. None of them were appropriate for me, so I settled on an appetizer portion "pasta with flat bread." However, when it arrived, it was actually a flat bread pizza sans pasta. Although tasty, it wasn't what I ordered,... More

I've been to G2B at least 5 or 6 times (including a beer dinner) since they've been established, and they surprise me in the best ways every time! The first thing I noticed this time was that their menu was updated and they had house-brewed beer to offer. I find the food very tasty and inventive. My recommendation is to... More

Great meal from beginning to end. Local food turned into a spectacular meal from the oysters, to the risotto, from the lamb to the fennel soup, from the cheese and pate board to the intricate desserts it was an gustatory and aesthetic treat. Don't be dissuaded by the fact that the restaurant is a bit out of the way. it... More

Located in an office building with an open kitchen along with brewing equipment for the nanobrewery as you walk in. Service was good and our server admitted she was new but when she wasn't sure she checked. The fennel olive oil soup and the charcuterie were both delicous. The house made tagliatelle was unique since I had never had stinging... More

Our server Nichole was amazing with detail of flavors and description of food. Food was amazing and the presentation was picture worthy to pass on to steer people to go try. Was disappointed by general manager - as she passed several times and not once asked how our meal was; especially with it being slow. She came across rude.

Limited menu but amazing food, display, service and atmosphere. Really special place and belongs yo Chicago, or New York City. The Julip mint jazz band were playing and they were amazing.

My husband and I went to dinner here Saturday night. Our server, Daniel, was fantastic! He was extremely helpful. He understood that we were on our way to a musical and did his best to see that our meal was ordered timely. The food was simply marvelous. It was beautiful, and delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I was very excited to have a jazz venue with cocktail and dining options in our neighborhood. The jazz band was very good and started on time and even invited dancers to the floor to have fun. However, there were major problems. This was in January and the heat was totally inadequate. i had to keep my coat on for... More

As some others have noted, the service here can absolutely ruin a meal. My wife and I went on New Year's Eve. I realize it was NYE, and I know from experience that things may not be the norm then. However, they weren't really that busy and there were many wait staff and a limited menu. This was probably the... More
