Popular spot for dinner

I ate at the Bull City Burger and Brewery based on the positive reviews. The restaurant is located in downtown Durham and there is a parking garage just down the street making it convenient to park and get to the restaurant. I arrived at around 5:00pm on a Saturday night and the place was almost... read more

Great for friends or family (lots of both when I attended). Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the beer- NC has come a long way in discovering talented brewers. Recommend as a fun place to meet up if you have an evening to kill in Durham.

Ate there on a Friday night. Staff seemed to be a bit overwhelmed as twice they tried to bring us the incorrect order. To be fair the place was packed. The food was fine, if maybe a bit overpriced for what you actually get. Place was full of hipsters and hipster wannabes.

I went here on Saturday and got there about 5:30 and sat at the bar. We each got our drink. I ordered the golden beer that I enjoyed. Wasn't too hoppy. I also got a burger that was delicious! Everyone enjoyed the food and service. By the time we were done there was a line to order all the way... More

Place looks good, products seem fresh but I was not impressed by the burger, it was not bad at all, just not really special. Came a second time and had a similar feeling, too much hype for nothing special.

Wonderful grass-feed beef burgers with lots of topping options one fresh baked buns. Everything is made on site ('cept the ketchup) and all ingredients are sourced from local farmers. Best fried pickles on the street. If the light is on, try the hot pretzels too. Come hungry!

Was in Durham on a solo trip and decided this to be lunch destination. Good was fantastic. Had their basic burger, with cheddar and fresh seasonal veggies. Staff was amazing. They made suggestions and brought out samples. Fried pickles best I've had. Can tell it's all fresh I would eat here again in a heartbeat

Enjoyed this place! Lots of toppings for the burgers which are cooked perfectly and taste amazing. They come out looking very small but are extremely filling. Nothing crazy special about the fries (had dirty and sweet potato), but nothing wrong at all either. Had a few appetizers (onion strips and pretzels) which were also good. This is an "order at... Ate here tonight with the fam - husband and I were thrilled with beer and our food. Kids were happy and loved the food. Don't miss the onion ring appetizer. I requested my burger without a bun and it was perfectly wrapped in lettuce.

You can make your burger plain-jane, and it'll be great. I added bacon marmalade, grueyere cheeze, and aioli to mine...was pretty damn good. be aware the line to order can get pretty long (it was about 40 people at 7p this Friday), but it moves pretty fast. Decent veg options. I'd go again for sure.
