Good burgers, fast service, fresh 'taters, and good drinks! A little noisy and definitely busy, but a good spot for a great burger!!

We went here for the first time the other night with friends. I will say the burgers were delicious and the beer was good as well. The set up leaves a lot to be desired. You have to wait in line and order your food and drinks before you find a table and sit down. Not the worst thing. They... More

We were in Durham, NC on business and local friends suggested that we meet for dinner at Bull City. Our hosts were avid locovores and appreciated that the restaurant prided itself on acquiring meats and vegetables--as well as crafting their own beers--from the local area. I took the advice of our local friend and ordered a burger with bacon and... More

I went there the other day just to try it and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. My food was way overcooked (I had a veggie burger and an appetizer) and it was kind of dry to eat. My burger had some goat cheese on it which also made the whole thing even feel even more dry.... More

Visited after a Duke basketball match. It was crowded. The waiter tipped us to order at the bar instead of getting in line. I think it saved us 20 minutes of waiting! There are a few 'private' tables but you just share a large table with others. Food came fast. I had a veggie burger with goat chess and duck... More

OK so I only had their Pumpkin Ale seasonal brew and the pimento/kale dip appetizer, but man was it good! Bull City Brew & Burgers was hopping early Saturday night in downtown Durham with a mix of college kids, families and baby boomers. People definitely come here for the grass-fed, thick, but not-too-big burgers. A carnivore's delight! If you want... More

Everyone seems to love this place, but every time I've been (I've tried at least 3 times) the burger is SO under seasoned that I've wanted to pour on salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc. The burger has tasted like bland, basic hamburger. I love the atmosphere of group picnic tables within the restaurant, but otherwise, umhhh, noooo..., no interest in... More

My wife and I were given tickets to Duke - Fairfield Basketball game last Saturday night. After conducting "recon" as to where exactly Cameron Indoor Stadium was located on Duke's campus, we set our sights on downtown Durham for a bite to eat before the game. We were in the mood for some pub grub and landed on this place... More

I went here for lunch one week day and tried a burger as someone had recommended them for their burgers. I was a bit disappointed as the burger was 6 oz. instead of 8 oz. so seemed a bit meager in size. It tasted alright but can't say much more than that. I also tried the appetizer of pimento cheese... Loved the atmosphere and especially the space on the back with games for children. It is a great place for families, and all kinds of people. I was very disappointed with the food, the burger I ordered was nothing special and the hush puppies really weird in texture. The staff were friendly and the open, long tables nice for big... More
