Allergy Friendly

The waiter ensured that my dining experience did not include being poisoned (food allergy: dairy). The food was very tasty, as were our cocktails.

Dos Perros is a great option across from the Durham Performing Arts Center. It gets busy, so make a reservation if you are thinking of eating here after a show. I like the fact that the menu offers a lot more than your typical burritos and enchiladas. It's a higher-end Mexican restaurant, with dishes like lamb passole and mole chicken... More

Eaten here 10 times over many years. Worst by far and going wrong direction. Loud and put party of 40 next to small tables. Food cold, appear pre-cooked- too hard to cut even with fork- so little vegetarian, so little willingness to order anything different, waitress really indifferent, kept asking if we wanted more drinks over and over, appetizers served... Amazing flavors - that's what comes to mind as I write this. This is not your typical Mexican place - this is a gourmet Mexican place! The menu is smallish, but full of amazing flavors in dishes that let you step outside of the box. The food is unique, well prepared and presented. The service is great, the staff is... More

Wow!! Really impressed with flavor of food and Santeria.. Had the shrimp taco.. Flavor was awesome with cucumber accompaniment Also the burrito with pork and beef.. Four of us had very good meals here. I had the pork enchilada' and they were excellent. Margarita's were very good too. Excellent service.

Great restaurant...location, service, and layout were top notch. Menu was limited (a plus for me) and focused on a few interesting items. Presentation was exceptional. Food was good, but menu descriptions hinted that tastes and combinations of tastes should have been better. Couldn't quite tell if they were going for a "niche" Mexican take, an authentic Mexican take, or some... More

The food was very good and the place was packed. The diet coke tasted watered down for some reason. Good location and place to go before the DPAC performance.

Actually, go here alone too. Food starts off on a good note- the chips and salsa are unusually good. I'm not sure what the salsa is, but it's got a green tomatillo base and it's the perfect thickness for salsa- not too chunky or watery. This place has an amazing variety of margaritas, but I think my favorite is the... More

I attended a private engagement party at Dos Perros in their downstairs room. The location was lovely and had a festive flare with christmas baubles hanging from the ceiling. The event was catered by the restaurant and as the newly engaged couple are both vegan we enjoyed a vegan mexican spread. I never saw or experienced the restaurant's regular menu... More
