Not your typical Tex-Mex

Had a quick dinner here and was looking for some healthy fare. Have been to some trendy Mexican restaurants in other cities lately and was surprised to see a real lack of interesting tacos or small dishes. (Apparently they have a separate taco night menu.) Mostly this menu is full of larger... read more

Eating at Dos Perros is living the pure life - everything made from scratch with only the freshest and best ingredients. This is Latin Cuisine at its finest. The specials of the day are always extraordinary. I have been dining at Dos Perros for four years and recently left Durham for a new chapter of my life in Atlanta. There... More

My family went before an event at DPAC and the location is great, just before a show. The menu is small and strange and nothing sounded good. My kids are fairly adventurous eaters and my husband is extremely adventurous but this was not good. We struggled to find something to order. It feels like they are trying to be too... More

Very good salads, great windows on the street, nice staff and gluten free! Upscale and clean with extensive menu choices for all diners in your party. Go before your DPAC event.

The food is always delicious and a great dining experience. The service has never disappointed us. As someone who needs to eat gluten-free, I love this place and what they have to offer.

We've eaten at Dos Perros a long time ago for dinner and once when they offered weekday breakfast. This time we made a reservation for Sunday brunch and were easily seated (it was very sparse at 10:30 on a Sunday. Members of our party had the boar chorizo, eggs and chorizo, and the hangover burrito. Portions were decent, we had... More

I've spent much of my life in Texas and have a pretty low opinion of most restaurants that try to pass themselves off as "Mexican". Dos Perros stands out as the one I would go back to. The cuisine there is more akin to actual Mexican (ie not Tex-Mex) and I would recommend it wholeheartedly over any other Mex place... More

While this place doesn't feature a kids menu, we were told they would accommodate and adjust for the kids. Which they did, however, the menu is extremely limited so our daughter wouldn't eat anything. The service was extremely poor. Our waiter essentially ignored our table then waited around while I paid the bill. The food and drink were mediocre. We... More

Our reservation at this busy spot on a Friday night was a good idea. We have enjoyed Dos Perros before and chose it even though we were in Durham to attend a show that evening. We parked in a deck a block away for free. We were seated promptly and service was attentive without making us feel rushed. Spicy cocktails... More
