Fantastic appetizers

Great appetizers and tortilla soup but the draft beer was almost room temperature. Would have been si much better with a really cold one!

We just held a private party in their downstairs room. Food was excellent, spicy margaritas were a hit and the service was terrific! When we have been there for dinner other nights, they offer season cocktails that are wonderful (watermelon sangria) and a great variety of modern mexican dishes. Always fresh and delicious!

We finally got a chance to try out Dos Perros before a show at DPAC. We made a reservation for 5:30pm and were only the second table filled in the restaurant. We had an 8pm show at DPAC but wanted some time to wander around downtown. More people arrived at 6pm and later. Our server was very attentive and knew... More

Dos Perros was not quite what we had imagined it would be. Authentic Mexican, yes. In terms of variety, not so much. I'll admit I lean toward the more tex mex kind of Mexican food, but I purposely picked this restaurant because I wanted a more authentic experience. Unfortunately there were only a couple of entrees to choose from per... More

Parking can be a bit difficult depending on the time. Very friendly staff. Owner was there and very engaged. Food options fantastic with very tasty mole sauce. I was warned about the spice which was not that intense. Overall a great place

It is too expensive, and the food is way too complicated for Mexican. They have tried way too hard to make it unique. Cactus - yuk. Weird sauces, poor flavors, too expensive.

The problem for me at a place like this, the food is quasi Mexican food. If you line sweet chutney type ingredients, you'll like it. If you like more traditional Mexican food, there's not a lot on the menu, except tequila drinks. I tried the chorizo poblano, which was the most savory on the menu. It had peppers and nopal... More

Eating at Dos Perros is living the pure life - everything made from scratch with only the freshest and best ingredients. This is Latin Cuisine at its finest. The specials of the day are always extraordinary. I have been dining at Dos Perros for four years and recently left Durham for a new chapter of my life in Atlanta. There... More

My family went before an event at DPAC and the location is great, just before a show. The menu is small and strange and nothing sounded good. My kids are fairly adventurous eaters and my husband is extremely adventurous but this was not good. We struggled to find something to order. It feels like they are trying to be too... More
