My coworker and I stopped in to try out a new location to host a work dinner. The margaritas were really good, the quesadillas and tacos were amazing, and the guacamole was some of the best I've ever had. The only thing that was average were the chips.

We ate at Dos Perros mainly because it's a block and a half from the Durham Performing Arts Center where we were seeing a concert. It was a Sunday evening and "taco night" at the restaurant. This allowed us to mix and match soft taco fillings (each cost $3). We started with different kinds of margaritas (there are classic versions... More

After a lot of recommendations, we tried Dos Perros- looking for authentic Mexican in the Triangle. The food was good, but the menu is pretty limited and not much of what I would call traditional. Rather, a number of special house recipes. Everything tasted very good, nice rich flavors and good size portions but not what we were looking for... More

Had a reservation before DPAC. Worked out well. Recommend that you have a 5:45 reservation for a 7:30 show. Service was very good. We enjoyed the chips and salsa. Had the Guava Habanero Margarita. MUY Calliente. Nice place and good food. easy walk.

We revisited Dos Perros on my wife's birthday, and it was better than ever. We came on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised with a newly inaugurated taco night and reduced price margaritas (Sunday and Monday nights). The restaurant is cheerily decorated and very clean - that extends to the bathrooms, which most restaurants sadly neglect. The margarita menu... More

Dos Perros has become a go to place when we are going to DPAC for a show. The bar scene looks awesome but we are always going there just for dinner. Tequila selection is terrific however and the food is great. Calamari and ceviche are favorites and then the mole. But house made chorizo and the camaron (shrimp) with pineapple... More

My daughter lives in Durham and invited us ,me and her brother, to try Dos Perros. One dish was baked trout stuffed with crab with an eggplant dish as side..it was very flaky, moist and tender and very flavorful. Well liked by all. Second dish was the vegetae, all vegetables with a tomato sauce , the spices in the sauce... More

Nice Mexican restaurant with lots of ambience in the heart of Durham, very convenient to DPAC. In fact, we parked in DPCP parking garage and walked to the restaurant and the to DPAC after dinner. The menu contains items you just won't see at most Mexican restaurants, such as lamb enchiladas which my wife had for dinner. I had the... More

I've given this place several tries and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately I don't. The atmosphere is OK and the menu looks good. But the execution of the food is really not good. I expected authentic Latin food and get a really bland, average, and unremarkable interpretation every time. There are so many better places to go. I'm... More
