Might be the best Mexican in the Triangle

I've spent much of my life in Texas and have a pretty low opinion of most restaurants that try to pass themselves off as "Mexican". Dos Perros stands out as the one I would go back to. While this place doesn't feature a kids menu, we were told they would accommodate and adjust for the kids. Which they did, however, the menu is extremely limited so our daughter wouldn't eat anything. The service was extremely poor. Our waiter essentially ignored our table then waited around while I paid the bill. The food and drink were mediocre. We... More

Our reservation at this busy spot on a Friday night was a good idea. We have enjoyed Dos Perros before and chose it even though we were in Durham to attend a show that evening. We parked in a deck a block away for free. We were seated promptly and service was attentive without making us feel rushed. Spicy cocktails... More

A friend and I decided to give it a try and we both were pleased. We had reservations so we did not have to wait. The waitstaff was friendly and service was good. It was a nice atmosphere, lively and there is full bar with tvs. I ordered the pan-seared trout stuffed with crab meat and it was amazing! the... More

Had dinner here before we attended Wicked. It is a little hard to find as I did not see a sign on Magnum Street except for "open". We were a few minutes late for our reservation because of this. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was very good and unique dishes. Far from traditional Mexican food. Enjoyed a glass of... More

We visited Dos Perros after seeing a show at the DPAC & got there just before the place filled up. The wait staff was helpful & answered quite a few questions from our table. The food selections weren't your typical Mexican fare, & had some interesting items even though Mexican cuisine isn't my favorite food choice. The mixed drinks were... More

I travel to the bay area for work; and there are amazing authentic mexican restaurants such as Viva Sol/Palo Alto Sol, Flacos (Berkeley), Gracias Madre, etc; and I was really excited to find a place right here in the triangle with similar authentic flavors in Dos Perros. Pros: - Authentic ingredients including homemade habanero sauces, chipotle, adobe, guajillo, mole, etc.... More

You can arrive later on a weeknight evening for a less crowded experience. The staff will care for you as if you're the most important guest of the night. Yummy, great choices, and second what others say about quality of cuisine. PS: dimly lit! you may think it's closed on driving by. Don't miss out by mistake!
