This is a small place on a small street, but with big taste. We had the speciality at this Peruvian restaurant - rotisserie chicken. "Rotisserie chicken" you say, "I can get that at any supermarket, and at Costco, and at Sam's Club." Sure you can, but will it be wonderfully spiced and cooked over wood? Will it fall off the... Three of us had planned for dinner at Rue Cler; they'd overbooked and couldn't seat us. So we drove down to Raleigh to Mami Nora's. We got a whole chicken, quartered, rice, beans, and yucca fries (these were just awesome) plus condiments and went home, opened a nice white Burgundy, and chowed down. The chicken is rotissserie-cooked over an open... More

Look, this is NOT a place you want to go to for ambiance but the food is terrific. The menu is very limited (think pick a type of chicken (white or dark), an amount of it and a couple sides) but the food they do have is really good. I had a quarter dark chicken, rice, and plantains with some... More

In addition to a very limited menu from which several items had been deleted (no arroz con pollo--ever), the food was just bad. The traditional chicken was the best of the bad, but it clearly did not meet the reviews on this site. The arroz chaufa was dried out and cold, and the rubbery sausage in it tasted more like... More

This food is excellent especially the roasted chicken , pollo asado , and yuca fries . My best freind and I wanted to go out for un cafe, I could tell he was kinda hungry. I thought honestly they would have coffee and they didn't but that was forgotten soon as we stepped in the ambiance is as authentic as... More

I spent a few years in Miami and had all sorts of latin "mojo" chicken, so I understand what I am eating. Mami Nora's was right on point! In fact, better than all other "mojo" style chicken I have had. I got the standard chicken rice and black beans with some sweet plantain on the side. Both my girlfriend and... More

The chicken was absolutely fantastic!!This very casual restaurant was a big hit, even with a five year old. The food was very fresh, very tasty and economical. If Mami Nora was in my hometown, we would be regulars (weekly).

I absolutely crave Mami Nora's. It is amazing. Never dined in - it's really more of a take out place. Not much on the menu other than the rotisserie chicken, but why would you ever try anything else. I could eat here once a week (and sometimes do!). It's a great value too.

this is just a dive restaurant with a delicious roasted chicken that worth to try it, I would say nobody could be disappointed with this fresh, moist, tender, full of flavor chicken, prices are cheap and of the place look clean, it is self service and the ambiance music is usually pop from the 80's, and sometimes old pop Spanish... Have never been disappointed here. Although you can eat in, most people in the neighborhood take out. Great alternative to fast food. The chicken is wonderful and there's a good assortment of sides.
