The place was great and up there with any Peruvian chicken place I've ever eaten! I'm glad we have such an authentic place in Durham! More

Some said it looked like a hole in the wall with good food when I read other reviews. It was actually nicer than I expected. It's very clean, and decorated with a Latin style. The food was delicious. We ate very late after driving nine hours to get to Raleigh for a wedding. They were closing in 15 minutes, but... More

As others have said it's a bit of a hole in the wall. But as soon as we walked in we knew why this place is rated so high. Smells great and the food was great. Fast and cheap for what you get. 3 adults for under 30 bucks. I will be back! More

As a frequent viewer, not as much reviewer, on tripadvisor I was skeptical to see a take out place ranked so high in a town with some excellent food with which to compare. Plus I live less thn 10 miles from the place and had never even heard of it until a few weeks ago. My wife and I went... More

I went there with my family last night and it surpassed our expectations. We went to Peru last September and the food at Mama Nora's is the real Mcoy. More

I am from the DC area where there are peruvians chicken joints all over. Here in NC this is the first I have found and can honestly say it was better than any peruvian chicken ive ever had. My family and I loved it! We heart Mami Noras! More

I love the way you order at Mami Noras, just choose how much chicken, specifying white or dark meat then add any 2 sides, you can't go wrong, I got black beans and plantains it was all good but the plantains are out of this world, I contemplated getting more the next day and stil regret not doing so. I... More

This family is passionate about how they do things, clearly shown in their food. Some people don't get the concept of keeping it simple but Mamie Nora's does. They get to master what they do best. The chicken. Great music, makes you feel like you have stepped out of the country for a bit. More

Started by a Peruvian, staffed by family from El Salvador, and frequented by customers from both countries. Definitely one of the best destinations for ethnic food in Durham's "little Brooklyn" of Roxboro Road North of I-85. The grilled chicken is tasty. Lomo saltado (mixed grill) is even better. Try the chicha morada. Too bad they no longer feature ceviche on... More

After shopping at Costco I was looking for a quick bite for lunch. I had no idea what to expect but it was wonderfully delicious! I had the daily special and asked for a ChiCha Morada (purple corn, pineapple w/ hints of cinnamon and cloves) for a special beverage. It tasted a bit watered down but was interesting. The special...
