Tasty Paninis but nothing special

Went for lunch and the soppresata panini I had was tasty, but I have had more memorable ones before. Price point should be about a dollar less in my opinion and it would be a stellar option. Stopped by on our way to a concert at Carolina Theater. This is a no frills place with very fresh and tasty food. We each order the 3 crostinis (all different) and the soup. It all was flavorful. The size of serving was a little small but the price was perfect.

I went to Toast solely to try their tramezzini. Being Italian (and I mean Italian, born and raised in Italy) I was so excited about finally someone was making one of my favorite snacks. The filling and the bread were good, but the tramezzino resembled a large sandwich...Tramezzini traditionally are fairly small and they are created to be eaten standing... More

I don't know if Toast still offers this, but before they remodeled I had the best shrimp salad sandwich of my life there--light and flavorful with sunchokes for a nice crunchy texture. Creative and delicious. Great first impression of this little gem in downtown Durham.

Found this place near our hotel for lunch and it had a lot of folks here, busy downtown kind of place. Vegans would like it, I had a mozzarella and ham panini. The fresh ingredients were good but the Italian ham was so thick it tasted mainly of salt. Yeah, I know someone complaining of too much on the sandwich,... More

By far the most amazing sandwich shop in durham. Not only does it have tasty sandwiches(like the three cheese pannini) but also amazing soups and salads. You will not regret stopping by.

Arugula with mint leaves fresh Parmesan cheese with this amazing olive oil based dressing left me wanting more and more of this salad. I also had the avocado lemon crustini also with fresh parm and I loved it! Space is a tad bit tight I would suggest you get your food to go. Otherwise an awesome spot for lunch!

My family and I visited Toast after visiting Duke University. It was recommended to us by a Duke alum and was a nice place for a light bite to eat for dinner. We ordered the panini with prosciutto, tomato and mozzarella and another one with sausage and spinach. My grandma got cauliflower cheese soup and to went perfectly with the... More

Toast is reliable. Always tasty, always fresh. Kelli is always smiling! The food is satisfying, with vegetarian options and tasty soups. I am partial to the 3 crostini and salad option, but the paninos are fabulous. I can't wait until their noodle shop opens!
