Great drinks, nice salads, and the pecan tart with burbon ice cream was a winner. Wish the signature dish oyster stew had a few more oysters and a little more seasoning. Scallop dish was also good. Casual warm inviting atmosphere.

Absolutely loved it! We drove an hour and a half for a good birthday dinner and it was worth it. Gorgeous inside and out with excellent, high end staff. The hopping john side dish was great, my husband loved the rice pilaf. The catfish was perfectly cooked! The crab cakes, which is one of their best sellers, were excellent! And... More

5 girlfriends and I spent the weekend up on the 4 wheel drive area. We made the trip down to Duck on Saturday the 22nd and had dinner at 'The Blue Point'. The service was fantastic, Elaine was super knowledgeable about the menu, they even had a nice selection 'gluten free' Dinner was fantastic, my steak was cooked perfectly, we... More

I live on the Outer Banks, about 35 minutes from The Blue Point, but we still go about once a month because we just love it here, especially brunch. Their bloody marys are excellent and the view is great here! I recommend it to every visitor I come into contact with (A LOT in the summer). However, I don't eat... More

My wife and I celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary at one superb location. The staff and food was superb. My North Carolina barbecue with slaw and homemade chips was outstanding and my wife's crab cake and side salad was simply wonderful. The view overlooking the sound was a like an oil painting. Job well done Blue Point. You are superb!!

This place is a gem. We are snobby about food...Boston and NY restaurants are our favorite. The Blue Point owners and staff are right up there with the best. Crab cakes were unreal and the coconut cake on fresh lemon curd was to die for.

WE are so lucky to own a place in Sanderling, but as it rents through October, last week was our first time back since June, and we always go back to the Blue Point. They never disappoint. We almost always get one of the specials, but the menu changes so often that those dishes are fabulous as well. The oyster... More

This is a very nice, but small restaurant in Duck, NC on the Outer Banks. Primarily seafood, with an interesting twist - not your basic fried / broiled sea-food, but more of a "Top Chef' twist. Even in the winter it tends to be crowded, so reservations are definitely recommended. The crab cakes are absolutely excellent, large, full of flavor... More

With so many choices of restaurants in the OBX I am so glad we ate at the Blue Point. The restaurant is celebrating it 25th anniversary -- a testament itself to their success. The food choices varied from crabcakes to meatloaf. There were several in our party and we all tried something a little different and all met with rave... More

I always call ahead to make a reservation to sit at the bar. The staff are great and the food is terrific. The salads are crisp and flavorful. The fish special was perfectly done and flavorful. My favorite is the short rib, when on the menu. It's out of this world, and so is the steak.
