Blue Point is our go to for a great dinner in Duck. Food is excellent and the sunset views from the back are great. Went with the lump crab and I can't rave about it enough. Portions are generous.

Call ahead and/or reservations recommended. Meal served a-la-carte. The pork chop & macaroni were excellent; my wife had the trout while I had Mai-Mai and everything was prepared very well with appropriate size proportion. Meal served with warm bread. Service was also outstanding. Although we did not have kids it appears to be kid friendly environment. Prices are high but... More

The best advice I can give you is tailor your reservation around the sunset. We had a 9pm dinner reservation. Arrived at the restaurant around 8:15 and watched the sun set over the sound. Part of the evening dining experience here is enjoying a cocktail at the Soundside Bar, and I recommend including this as part of your Blue Point... More

The Blue Point continues to offer what is has offered for years and years, some of the best seafood and views in the Outer Banks. The creativity of the menu is average, at best, but the stability of the offerings continues to amaze. We have eaten here many times now and it is always a highlight of our trip to... More

Even though we've been eating at Blue Point yearly for 18 out of it's 20 year existence, I can honestly say that the level of cuisine and service has never been anything but outstanding. It is not a flashy place, and when it started it was very small and funky, but it was expanded years ago to a bigger set... More

For the past 15 years, my husband I have been vacationing on Duck, NC. Each time, The Blue Point has been a key attraction for at least one, usually two exceptional meals during our week-long visits. There has never been a meal to disappoint. We've tried almost every Duck and several other restaurants north of Duck and in Corolla. The... More

They made space for a party of 7 at the last minute in the back room and for that we were grateful. Cocktail list is extensive and all that we tasted was delish! Limited but interesting wine selections. Service was a little harried. All of us enjoyed our appetizers and salads more than the entrees. She crab soup, wedge &... More

We sat at the bar and had a great time! The server/bartenders were very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were lovely. Beautiful sunset and live music were a perfect ending. Highlight of our weekend!

We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening. We tried to get reservations earlier in the day, but they were booked. They told us there were 8 tables available for walk-ins, so we got there at 5pm when they opened. Good thing we did because other couples were doing the same. We were seated within a few minutes. I ordered... More

I was hoping for a wonderful meal while out with my husband in Duck. The blue Point did not disappoint me! While the hostesses were not particularly friendly in greeting us (yes, we did have reservations) our server more than made up for them. He was so friendly and knowledgeable on everything on the menu. We ordered shrimp for an... More
