a hidden gem!

There are not a lot of choices as to where to eat in Duck NC in March on a Monday. A local shopkeeper recommended Cravings and we are glad we tried it. We shared a pound of boiled shrimp for $16 and the shrimp were as thick as my index finger and well seasoned. We also had a brie, bacon... read more

Coastal cravings has been a staple in Southern Shores for years, mostly as a gourmet provision stop. Then they added a wine bar, then food at the wine bar, and more recently a full bar. The glass and bottle prices on the wine are the best of any restaurant, anywhere. The food is top notch; perfectly seared scallops, perfectly cooked... More

Carolyn took care of our breakfast sammy cravings with great humor and wit! We had $5 mimosas, the "3 Little Piggies" and a "Lobster Benny" sandwich. They even have a drive-through. The place was clean, upbeat and tasty!

The burger was very substantial and very good according to my husband. The fish tacos were exceptional. My daughter also got the fish fingers off of the kids menu which turned out to be fresh fish that she loved! The staff was accommodating and fun.

Very good food. I have never had a bad meal. Beef and cheddar, fish and chips, and pork barbecue are great. Always consistent.

We eat here often and really love the food. The service can be hit and miss and special orders are nearly always wrong but the food keeps us coming back.

We saw the review on Diner's Drive Ins and Dives before we went to Duck. The food was just as good as Guy said it would be. We went to Coastal Cravings twice during our stay for the week in October 2014. The first visit was so good, we went back a night or two later. If you like scallops,... More

Ate here twice within one week on visit to Corolla. So good first time we had to return. Second visit are outside. First visit could find it. Tucked next door to a BP station. You won't be disappointed. Seafood best I've had anywhere. Wish there were some where I live. Looking forward to going back next year.

We had taken our dogs for a long walk through Duck along the boardwalk and wanted to have lunch before heading back to our vacation rental. Because we vacation in the off season, not a lot of places are still open, especially those with outside dining that would accommodate our dogs. Cravings did and they were very welcoming to us... Once again, while visiting the Outer Banks, we made a point to drive to Coastal Cravings. Love their shrimp basket. The shrimp are huge and you get a lot of french fries with them. Ordered a Mixed Green Salad. It was big enough to share with hubby. Excellent Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing. Hubby ordered the Fish and Chips, which consisted of... More
