After we used a gift card, we wanted to see how much we had left on it. To our surprise, even though our receipt stated we were charged $30.27, $37.67 was deducted from our card. When we returned to Roadside, we were refunded. Since there was no manager on duty, we asked that he/she call us. After... read more

Never thought I would write a review for a BLT, but this was one of the best. Crisp lettuce, just the right amount of bacon, tomato and mayo all on a super-fresh ciabatta roll. It was served with the best pasta salad. Fresh with just a light dressing and the right proportion of onions and peppers. We also got their... More

Just to clear up any confusion, we checked our records, and we only charged exactly $30.27. The credit card company temporarily put a hold of 20% more than the bill in case a gratuity was added. This was removed a day or two later after the transaction was processed. More

Stopped in to eat after reading reviews. Our waitress, Lindsey, was great! The steamed shrimp and shrimp and grits were delicious!

This is by far, one of the best burgers we have ever eaten in a restaurant! It tasted like a little piece of Heaven! Very generous portions as well. We'll definitely be a repeat customer.

The cornbread was delicious. We each had a cup of the clam chowder and it did not disappoint. We were not too hungry and we shared one of the specials. It was scallops and shrimp over spinach and pepperjack grits with a white wine sauce. Excellent. The wine was $9 a glass and was very good.

If you can get a table by the kitchen do so. The food here is really excellent and it is great to watch the preparation and it really come out hot. I had the lobster mac&cheese which was loaded with lobster and absolutely fantastic. Everyone raved about their meals and the atmosphere couldn't be more relaxing.

Rolled in after a day of driving. Party of 4. Was relegated to a table in a side area. Dark and cold feeling. Waited on by the hostess. Nice girl. Food was eh...I got the special ($28) scallops and shrimp with grits and broccoli. 4 scallops, 4 shrimp, cold-tasteless grits, a few sprigs of broccoli. Nothing "special". Not worth it.... More

Dear Potential Diners, Roadside epitomizes a seaside café. I'm always happy when I walk in the door and a little underwhelmed on my way out. Service is always good and consistent. And the interior is fun and rustic. I just can't get overly excited about my meals. They are fine. (We've been twice in a week recently.) The mushroom salad...fine... More

We've been fans of the food at this restaurant for years. Excellent clam chowder, clearly made fresh on the premises, perfectly steamed shrimp, interesting twists on traditional sandwiches, all in a cozy atmosphere inside in the winter or out on the patio in the summer. Good selection of bottled beers, but only 3 on tap. Our only complaint is the... More

This place is sooo good! After visiting OBX for the day, we needed some good eats. I had the Shrimp and Grits...best I've ever had. The grits were very smooth and the shrimp was very flavorful. It also had a beef gravy on top...very different but VERY good. Probably one of my favorite restaurants I've been to in OBX.
