Always fresh fish and produce, great service, awesome drinks. Mine of our favorites! Been eating here for years. Amazing the food they produce from a tiny kitchen.

Customer service is always good, and the food is dependably great. Always nice to stop by here on the way out of town for one of their delicious BLTs.

It's becoming a new tradition on New Years Eve for The town of Duck on the OBx can. The Roadside Restaurant has an out door event called the Crab Pot Drop to ring in the New Year. It is outside, around fire pits and chimerias. There is a full outdoor bar, a band, huge projection tv, and chowder and oysters.... More

We drove past this place for years and never stopped.Someone told us to just stop, once. They have the most incredible food. The chef prepares it so you can see your food being made. The presentation on the plate, the taste of the dish, all adds up to incredible experience...We recommended it to our friends and now we all make it a MUST stop every year..

I went with a party of 6. Salad was excellent per one of my party. I had the oyster stew and tomato pie which I found to be delicious. The service was very good and attentive. The bread was unbelievable! Everyone's dinner was quite satisfying and and overall good experience.

From the outside this place does not really stand out. First impression is a beach bar that would have bar food. The outside appearance and the dirt and gravel parking lot in the back don't give any indication of what you will find inside. I went here based on the suggestion of a friend and it was well worth the... More

Lunch was a treat at the Roadside. We arrived early, thank goodness, as by the time we left there was a wait and line outside. The restaurant is in an old house in Duck. We were promptly seated in a lower level. I thought they had tried to cram too many tables/booths in there as people were bumping into each... More

We were 2 couples for a night away from our own cooking. Very few open restaurants during Chirstmas week to choose from, but we were glad the Roadside was open. Between us, we had the Roadside Salad, Warm Mushroom Salad, Oyster Stew, Lobster Mac n Cheese, and a daily special with Mussels. No one was disappointed. The salads are huge,... More

During mid December many restaurants were closed and we were glad Roadside was open. It was recommended to us as a good place that many locals frequent. The clam chowder is well seasoned with tasty clams and fresh spices like thyme. My husband enjoyed seared scallops as a appetizer and Caesar salad. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was fun and...
