Great New Years Dinner

This was our 8th New Years Eve Dinner at Roadside. Delish as always. The menu has something for everyone, roast duck, filet [ribeye in past years], a variety of fresh seafood, last year we tried fresh barrel fish, this year they had fresh turbot from South Carolina. The bread and seasoned butter... read more

A group of 20 for dinner on a cold and miserable January night! But once inside our spirits were lifted and hearts warmed! I know corny but you get the idea! As usual Roadside met our every expectation. The food, the drinks and, without question, the service! Between all of us we ordered almost every appetizer and virtually all of... More

I've been trying to remember to take pictures of food before I eat it, but the food here was so amazing I forgot! We ordered the chowder and it was so creamy, so flavorful, and so fresh I actually had to refrain myself from licking my bowl. I kid you not. The only thing that stopped me was my delicious... More

We stopped in in December as it was the one of the few places open on Monday. It was a little difficult to find. The building is a small shack, and they seem to have a large area outside used in the summer for outdoor gatherings with a bar, and likely music. The decor is unusual to say the least,... More

A trip to the Outer Banks isn't complete without having a meal and drinks at The Roadside...and The Backside Bar behind the restaurant is a must not miss scene. On black Friday they have an oyster roast but they always have stuff going on...LOVE the food, and cocktails. You might think this place is a tad dumpy, not glossy and... More

But we had oyster stew and jambalaya -- both delicious! A nice bar, friendly waiters, delicious food, free parking. There's an outdoor garden as well, but it was a little too cold to use it....highly recommended!

After many scrumptious dinners. We went for lunch. Different menu b to a degree. They now have outside seating and an area out back... so if it looks small don't be deceived, they will fit you in. Drinks can be a bit pricey in my opinion. 10 to 14 dollars. But lots of lunches for 10 bucks, and none of... More
