Upscale casual on the waterfront

Great little restaurant with a small selection of well prepared and fresh items. My husband and I spit the ravioli pasta and fresh fish dishes which we both enjoyed. Most entrees start at $25+. Small, but refined bar. We arrived around 6:20 on a Friday night as walk-ins, and were only able to be... read more

We listened to some locals and went to the Canoe. Both of our dishes we delicious and well prepared. Everyone was gracious from the receptionist to the waiter. Excellent choice, reservations recommended.

Fresh scallops and soft shells. However, they need to learn to properly prepare the soft shells. They were overly breaded, overcooked, and had too much sauce on the plate. The wonderful flavor and texture of soft shell crabs was pretty much destroyed by the chef. The scallops were well-prepared, but the plate was over-sauced, the vegetables were soggy, and the... We had yellow tail and scallops. Both were well prepared, not over cooked. Service was good in team concept. We will return.

We had 7:30 reservations but showed up at 7 for some cocktails...the hostess was not pleased and even snippy. Thankfully that was the only dark spot on a fabulous evening. Cocktails were perfect and accompanied the sunset view from the deck quite well. The waiter praised both the special (bluefish) and the shrimp and grits. He wasn't wrong...they were both... More

Was not sure what to expect and didn't know reservations are preferred but the staff sat is in the bar area which has amazing views of the sound. The meals were great. Amazing even. Staff and other patrons were fun to talk with. Did i mention excellent food?

I've seen Paper Canoe on Trip Advisor for quite some time, and for some reason, never paid much attention. We had breakfast at the Lifesaving Station this morning, and saw the sign for PC on our way out. I looked up the reviews when we got back to our house, and decided to try it for dinner. I called to... More

If we could give a 0 star rating we would. Very disapointed 4 year old craving pizza saw empty restaurant, however we were turned away saying if we had arrived 15mi n earlier they could have served us. Again did I mention no patrons in restaurant and none arrived for the next 10 min.. While we searched for another place.

Nice, casual restaurant on the west side of the Outer Banks. Sunsets are beautiful here. The atmosphere is casual, the wait staff were VERY nice and knowledgeable, food was fantastic! Dress was casual. Would love to return to this restaurant.

Definitely order the duck post stickers. They are so... yummy. My husband ordered the scallops and loved it. I ordered the lobster ravioli and oh... my goodness they were delish. I would recommend this place and would love to go back n try one of their pizzas.
