Went here again on my recent visit to the beach. It's a small restaurant in a cute older shopping area (in the town of Duck a little hidden behind trees off the main road) but worth checking out. The food is as yummy as I remember, true Carolina pulled pork, delicious hush puppies, cold beer, and cute kids meals are... More

This was our 4th year in a row ordering take out from this Sooey's location. As with the previous visits, service was pleasant and staff was polite. We had a group of 6 adults and ordered the Three Little Pigs package. The smoked chicken is very good and the fried chicken is to die for. We always order double mac... More

We had gotten information but lousy directions to an upscale restaurant which we were unable to find. hungry, very hungry we decided to try sooeys because it was in the shopping center in which we found ourselves. if you are looking for a nice sit-down restaurant, sooey's isn't going to fit your needs. but if you want well cooked fish... Outstanding pulled pork! Their vinegar sauce & their sweet barbecue sauce are both homemade & very tasty! Good service even in the off season. Creamy mac & cheese, served hot. :)

I took my family to eat at Sooey's while we were on vacation. Since it is conveniently located in the center of Duck, NC, I thought it would be a safe bet. The dining room is small, and you are served with throw away utensils and cups. Not what I was expecting. After getting seated and looking over the menu... More

Went for dinner with the family. Kids really loved the fried chicken. Wife ordered the pulled pork platter and wasn't too impressed. She said the pork lacked flavor. I had the beef brisket, and it was just OK with a little too much bbq sauce for my liking.

Love the bbq here. Hush puppies are delicious. Family run and very friendly. No matter how hard we try we always end up with too much food. The fried oysters are yummy! Wine selection is non existent.

We came to NC from Virginia excited about getting NC BBQ. We stopped at Sooeys in Duck and were disappointed. The BBQ was not very flavorful, but more than BBQ we were disappointed with the overall experience. There were about 5 people working there, but only one in the kitchen cooking. It felt like we waited forever for a simple... More
