Typical inland, chain seafood eatery. They have other options on the menu besides fish. Portions were good and food was well prepared. They were busy and drinks were allowed to run out. Seemed like regulars got a little more attention. I understand this, but less chit-chat might have left time for better service to the first time visitor.

My mother and I usually eat at Captain's Cap about every month or two. Great salad bar, I love the broiled scallops, they have a great flavor, and the serving is plentiful. I tried the baby flounder, it had an okay taste, I prefer the baby flounder from Safari Miles right down the road, which is excellent.

We have eaten here a number of times. The seafood is very good. We have never had a bad meal. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant has plenty of seating area , so even during busy times , we haven't had to wait. The salad bar doesn't have alot of choices, but it has always been fresh and very... More

A decent menu served by friendly staff. Nothing exceptional but generally good, well cooked food. The overall image of this restaurant is that it could do with updating as if feels very plastic. Better booths and tables would help the image of this restaurant. No complaints about the food though.

They have very good seafood and are reasonably priced. The Captain's Cap seafood platter is great but it's more food than I can eat at one setting.

This place tends to be pretty busy during peak hours. I only like shrimp and it was fine. I get the impression that they are taken advantage of by the signs at the salad bar "on trip only" type signs.

Visiting friends in the area, we were looking for a place for dinner, and found Captain's Cap. Pleasantly surprised at the very good dinners we all had for a reasonable price. My shrimp hit the spot, my husband's catfish was succulent (his comment), our friends enjoyed their dinner as well.

I have dinner here with my husband at least three times a month and we leave stuffed every time! The fresh salad bar is great, dressings are homemade and delicious and the beef tips are FANTASTIC! My husband always orders a fish platter and its consistently fresh and he loves it! I'm always greeted warmly by many of the servers... More

This place survives on cheap prices, fried foods, an older clientele, and lack of competition. Really, don't waste your time or money. You will be better off at Wendy's, or lakeshore barbecue.

The wait staff is very friendly, but seem fearful of the management. This makes for a very awkward atmoshpere. I've been several times (with family, not really my choice) and this was always the case. It's obvious they are trying to save money. A large plate is barely enough for a meal. The food is ok, nothing to go out... More
