Meat and potatoes done well

Flatiron is a good weekend low key dinner for date night or dinner with friends. The atmosphere is casual but a step above the chain restaurants. It has a central hub bar and a semi-open kitchen. After living in the LKN area we finally ate at flatiron. The service was wonderful, entrees were unique, yummy, just the right size, and presented well. We had room for dessert too! The 5 of use tried 3 desserts and all of them were wonderful!!! Our waitress was great too. We will go back!!!

When I was here three years ago The Flatiron was my go to restaurant. My family and I loved it. We moved away and then we came back. And now we are less than enamoured with the establishment. In short, for $25 a plate I would expect to at least have a menu that wasn't coffee stained and torn. Additionally,... More

On a Monday in summer, when most Davidson restaurants were closed for lunch, Flatiron was a godsend. Enjoyed the experience, thought the food was fine, the service okay, but again, there wasn't much else available.

Food was average service was most terrible, one of the worst ever. Restaurant not busy, server did a drop and run with meal never came back for water etc till very end, asked for some extras never returned or acknowledged anything. Very disappointed was certainly expecting a much better experience. Hopefully we had just picked a bad time.

They have wagu burgers, Parmesan truffle fries, and great beer selection. No happy hour though. I will go back.

Atmosphere is very nice at Flatiron-can get dressed up or be casual. Many of us ordered the filet which was good (I've had better, but would still go back and probably would order it again). The mashed potatoes were VERY good. Was disappointed that they took the "Bag of Donuts" off the dessert menu. They were amazing!!! It is on... More

Stopped in for lunch while visiting. Nice atmosphere with local artists work displayed on walls. Focal point was the draft beer tower. Food was good. Recommend burgers, salad or sandwich. Hand cut fries or pretzel with the white cheddar are a must.

Our group of friends chose this restaurant for our evening meal. We could not have been more pleased. No wait. Our waitress, Michelle, was completely awesome. The manager came to our table to make sure we were having a good experience. We will absolutely go back to this restaurant. Food was good, service great, good bang for the buck.

My wife and I were skeptical about spending so much for a burger, but we were in the mood for one so we gave it a go. We even splurged and spent an extra $1 for avocado. The taste was really terrific: the grain-fed (supposedly) beef was grilled over a hickory fire, covered with beer soaked and grilled onions with... More
