Driving to Charlotte area, traffic backed up a couple miles. Since it was a good time to stop for an early dinner we pulled off at Davidson and found the Flatiron. It wasn't crowed though it filled up as we ate. The decor is nice with dark wood finishes. The service was friendly and helpful. They had a nice assortment... More

My friend & I decided to go the dinner there before going to a play. The menu I was given was stained with who knows what. When I opened my napkin, it was dirty. The icing on the cake was when I ordered an Irish Coffee, the server brought me a big mug of coffee with Jameson & with no... More

We arrived into Davidson after 9pm and found Flatiron Kitchen open. Great looking building on Main. My husband got the hamburger sliders and the most awesome truffle oil parmesan cheese french fries. I had the goat cheese bake with homemade cut potato chips. Beer and a mixed drink. Super good and comfortable

We decided to try the Flatiron for lunch. I had a salad and my husband had fish. Both of our meals were tasty and just the right amount of food. The service was good and the waiter knowledgable about the beer selection and what was local. It was more expensive than we thought it should have been.

Sometimes your meal will be great, other times not so much. If you want to be "seen" in Davidson, this is where you'll go. If you want reliably good food in a relaxing environment, this is not the place. Very overpriced, very noisy, usually very crowded.

Nice option for a work lunch. Plenty of seating, and great food options for a light lunch. Service was fine, and met expectations. I will be back to try other options, and the dinner selections. Additionally, I would like to try some of the drinks and beer offerings.

We went in because it looked like a sports bar from the road. Very nice inside. Friendly cheerful service. When she saw we were surprised by the prices (we were expecting wings and beer, instead it was chef prepared food) she graciously told us we could order from the kids menu if we were looking for more casual food. We... More

You'd think that a corner restaurant in a new building overlooking downtown Davidson run by Davidson College grads would be the hot spot in town, but it's not. At least if you want good food. We met friends there for a glass of wine and a light early dinner. Among four of us we had three Caesar salads. They consisted... More

I have eaten here twice. The first time was for dinner and the food was really good but I thought it was over priced for what we got. The second time I ate here was for lunch and I felt the value was better. Like I said, both meals tasted delicious and I would definitely go back.

I was impressed with the wine selection by the glass here. I have never seen such a nice 'by the glass' selection. While not cheap...delicious selection out ranked price. Nice. Good hamburger and nicely prepared hickory grilled trout served with greasy sweet potato squares. Order a substitute for the sweet potatoes unless you like greasy. After the wine selection...the best... More
