The soups and appetizers we tried on multiple visits were all great. We thoroughly enjoyed their fish selections - particularly ahi tuna. The service has been excellent for each meal, we highly recommend this place!!

I only had she crab soup and the crab grenades appetizer. Both were not something I'd return for. The soup was runny for my taste and seemed to have shredded carrot as a filler for the lack of crab... At $10 a bowl that's not cool. Also the crab grenades were 5 tasty teaspoon sized bites of deep fried crab... More

This was not our first time here. Typically we find ourselves shopping on a rainy day at the outer banks and we end up at the bar at North Banks. This was the case this week. My husband ordered a steamer plate of clams, crab legs and shrimp. Was ok for a 25 dollar lunch...just ok. I ordered a ceasar... More

Small place so typically long waits, but worth it! Seafood pasta and Rockfish special were fabulous. Kid friendly for a 2, 3, 4 and 7 year old. They take large groups too! Waitress was awesome and attentive!

North Banks is one of our staple restaurants to eat out every year. However on this trip the food was below average. I had the seafood pasta. The dish had no flavor and the sauce was very runny. It looked is if the chef took a box of penne pasta and dumped it into a bowl with some shrimp and... More

Can't say enough about the broiled lump crab cakes that I ordered! They were amazing! Also, the zuchinni that was served as a side was truly a unique dish as well as the red skinned mash potatoes. The wait was FOREVER, but worth it!

No reservations and a small space so check in early and browse the shopping center until your table is ready (the restaurant buzzers work throughout Tim Buk II). We had a table of 6 and had to wait about 2 hours on a Thursday night (checked in at 6:45, seated about 8:45). That said, we were ready for it since... More

First time to this restaurant, we were advised to come early(4:30) and put our name on list to be seated at 5pm. This worked perfectly and we enjoyed a wonderful meal! Chef's special was Mahi Mahi and the preparation was fantastic....loved every bite! Also had tuna, lobster, steaks and shrimp...no one was disappointed! Actually, best meal of the week! Server... Waited for almost 2 hours only to notice the hostess sitting people that came after us. Another lady told me same thing happened to her. I confronted hostess nicely and she was very rude. Then told me I was next but it will be another 45 min. Very Unprofessional behavior. Take your Business around Corner to Mike and Dianne's Restaurant.... More

We were fortunate enough to get to go out for a seafood/steak dinner while in Corolla, NC, last week on vacation. All 11 of us LOVED the North Banks restaurant. It was a bit noisey but the food was FABULOUS!!! I had the best lobster tail I've ever had (and I've had Maine lobster before!). Our waitress was delightful and... More
