When we asked several people for recommendations of a good dinner restaurant in Corolla, they all separately recommended this place. They were not wrong. It's a small establishment in a little shopping center, with several other high-rated restaurants nearby, but the atmosphere was fine, the service friendly and very good and efficient, and the food was excellent. We don't do... More

We probably wouldn't have found this restaurant at the back of a rather large shopping complex if it hadn't been for great directions. The food was just fabulous...fresh,well-presented and served promptly. If we get down that way again, we'd definitely make it a point to return for another meal at North Banks.

My husband and I had dinner over the weekend and it was extremely crowded with a great atmosphere. We sat at the bar, enjoyed some great elderflower cocktails and some specialty oysters which were to die for. I had the salmon entrée served with asparagus which was cooked perfectly and my husband had the pork which was equally as great.... More

We had no problem getting a seat on a cold rainy April day, but I'm guessing this place gets crowded in the summertime! It's a great place for lunch after climbing Currituck Beach Lighthouse. It is in the Tim Buck II shopping village. Just drive around in there a little while, and you will see it! We both had the... More

We ate lunch at this restaurant twice during our week long stay in Corolla and it was great both times. The she-crab soup ( tomato based ) is quiet different, loaded with fresh crab meat and very good. We also had the firebugs which were very tasty! Waiters were very friendly and the Mai Tai's were enjoyable! We will definitely... More

We always love North Banks, even when it was called Steamers in the olden days. Now we never go in season because there are no reservations and everyone loves North Banks so the waits are considerable. But we went on Thursday night and had a wonderful meal, great waitress, and terrific time. The food was delicious and the waitress was... More

We arrived in the seasonal lull after spring break and before the late-spring onslaught to find almost no restaurants in the Corolla-Duck corridor open, esp. on a Monday, which isn't a great restaurant evening to begin with. We were lucky to find North Banks open not far from our hotel, and even luckier to find the food fresh, well-prepared, and... More

The dining area of North Banks is very small, and they were very busy on the night we visited. But I must say, the food was worth the wait! The She-crab soup was outstanding and absolutely loaded with fresh crab meat. Several members of our party had the flounder special, and all gave it two thumbs up. I had the... More

Had lunch there today, dozen blueprint oysters were very good, 25$. Husbands flounder sandwich was kinda bland, French fries were average and bland. Family members crab cake sandwich looked amazing and he said was good. Variety of draft beers that some of our family enjoyed. Service was good. Just would try something else next time. Good location in Timbuktu shopping... More
