Decent NC style BBQ

I have been coming here for years and the quality is always the same. Good portions and reasonable pricing. There is no inside seating, so don't plan on taking the family there for a nice dinner. This is a little place in old Corolla and is easy to miss. But if you're anywhere close you will smell the delicious food and just follow that to the tiny building, go in the screen door, place your order at the window, get your food and enjoy at a picnic table outside. If you are really hungry get a... More

Great NC BBQ and great prices! Hard to please 20+ people but they did. Called ahead, picked up the order and fed my family; was a hit with everybody. My personal favorite was the ribs; if you don't try them, you're missing out...

The Pulled pork was excellent. The baked beans were very good as well. I'm not a big cornbread fan but this cornbread was very good and moist. The only downside of this place is that the seating is picnic benches outside which were dirty. It is also very cheap!

We were looking for a new place to try out and saw great reviews on your BBQ. I wanted the ribs but apparently so did everyone else (alas you were out). So we opted for the BBQ pork platter. My wife thinks that the best BBQ pork she has ever had and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it.... More

We found this place by chance. It's hidden in the historic village behind the Currituck lighthouse. The smell will draw you in. They recommend the pick bbq. A good recommendation. For coleslaw and cornbread too. Bbq was so tender and juicy. Cornbread was like cake! Don't pass this place up! We got carryout the same night for the whole family... More

We have come to Corolla for 18 years and this is our very favorite BBQ spot! Best carolina style BBQ...top it off with their slaw on a bun and it can't be beat. The baked beans are fantastic too!

Corolla Village Barbecue is where we always go after we visit the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. It sits right in the heart of the historic Corolla Historic Village. Everytime we visit the Outer Banks we always go to the lighthouse and then have Corolla Village Barbecue afterward. I think barbecue is really hard to review because everyone has a strong opinion... We stopped at Corolla BBQ at lunch time to pick up our dinner for later! The quart of BBQ we got was delicious! Not a speck of fat in the entire quart! The BBQ was tender and tasty; we could add the sauce (in a separate container) if we wanted more or less spice which we appreciated. Our friend from... More
