First, please note that our crowd is hard to please... we take the quality of our food very seriously...That being said, we loved Corolla Village BBQ.. I will say that as I unpacked the takeout in front of a starving crowd, there was skepticism...but with one bite and the room went quiet...On this night, the pulled pork was moist and... More

We went here after reading all the great reviews, but coming from central NC, we were disappointed. Nothing special really, we've had much better. The pulled pork was dry and cornbread was cold. Beans were good though. Overall, I would not go again.

I've eaten at CVB a number of times and have reviewed before. I am a fan, no doubt. But my recent experience showed a few signs of slippage in the food. The barbecue was drier this time than in the past, as if it had been sitting around. The beans were exceptional but the chickens were just meh, as they... More

I def recommend a meal with CVB while staying in Corolla area. Very fair prices, delish beans! If you are planning for a crowd, make sure to call around lunchtime to place an order, as they sometimes run out of food by 530 or 6, depending on how busy the day goes and especially in the busy summer season. We... More

This walk up window BBQ restaurant offers picnic tables under some nice shade trees which we were thankful for on a hot day. We ordered the pulled pork and the BBQ chicken along with slaw, sweet potatoes, cornbread and potato salad. The chicken was a quarter, not pulled as we prefer. The pork was moist and of good quality but... More

Ordered take out bbq, slaw, and beans from here one night and it was filling and good. Folks at the take out window were friendly and fun.

I have a smoker and like to cook my own pork shoulders, so I tend to be a bit picky about BBQ, but the Corolla Village BBQ is about as good as purchased east Carolina pork BBQ can get. Not a real strong smoked flavor but enough that you can taste it. Would prefer a bit more pink smoke ring... More

We happened on this small shack by chance while wandering round the historic village and decided to have pulled pork sandwiches for lunch. What an inspired choice this turned out to be; there was plenty of meat filling and the pork was tender and very moist. I am not an aficionado of BBQ and tend to find some of them... More

We stopped at this small unassuming business for lunch because of its previous reviews. We all (4) had the pulled pork sandwich. Each of found it to be absolutely terrific. The meat and the various sauces were perfect for each person. warning...if you get the jumbo sandwich, you need to be hungry or go the rest of the day without... More
