food good, drinks excellent, waiter funny as hell

Ok so 4 middle aged women walk into First Light : at first sight we seem reputable, well dressed, properly groomed. Respectable to the unsuspecting eye. What most people don't know is that we spent the last few days behaving like teenaged boys. And so we make our entrance , not disastrously hung... read more

Neat spot for breakfast. Food is excellent. Staff is super nice and attentive. Scattered and smothered was also excellent. A must visit!

We stopped in mid afternooon and asked about buying our meal separate. There were 3 of us and there was a small line at bottom of menu about splitting check in half. We spent a lot of time explaining we needed to pay separately. Waiter said he could take 3 payments. Ordered food. People next to us came in after... More

Had breakfast off season with a party of 7. Service was good. Everyone was happy with their food. My French toast was yummy. We didn't have cocktails but from what I could see on others' tables, that would be something to try. Coffee was atrocious but I haven't found anywhere in Corolla that makes decent coffee - is it the... More

Great place to go for a quick but to eat. Breakfast is served all day. The wait staff is very nice. The restaurant is very cozy. Not a lot of tables but there's outside seating when the weather is nice.

We stopped in for lunch early in the afternoon and early in the season. We ordered the seared scallop salad. Our waiter, Mannley, came out a few minutes later and told us they were out of scallops. Because it was early in the season they were out of one other item in the salad so the chef made us an... More

After driving 10 hours straight through the night, this was a god send! For being 8am on a Saturday, busiest road day on the island, this place was was not crazy busy. You can put your name in at the front and walk around the stores while you wait. We like to sit at the bar so we squeezed onto... More

The staff is gracious and welcoming. The beer selection is good. The menu, however , is limited. We shared a rueben and fries which were good, but certainly not exceptional.

Stopped in for lunch not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. We had burgers and they were enormous and perfectly cooked. The homemade chips were very good although most of mine were overcooked but I didn't complain because I wouldn't have had room to finish them anyway! Can't wait to go back next year and try breakfast or... More

Yes, that's the name of one of their breakfast meals. And you don't need to be hungover to enjoy it. Well-seasoned, chunky home fries with melted American cheese and topped with two over easy eggs. Dee-lish!
