We've never had anything but breakfast when we visit Corolla every year & then we always get the Scattered Smothered & Covered. It consist of scrambled eggs, bacon, sauteed onions, fried potatoes & cheese all mixed together & absolutely delicious. It's a good size portion so bring your appetite. We'll definitely be back next year. :-)

We came for a late lunch on a Friday. The place was empty. Our server was a young, unkempt long haired boy with a bad attitude. He spent a lot of time telling us what he could not do for us. He brought too many drinks, apologized, but didn't fix the bill. Someone ordered chips but they were never brought.... More

The food is very good. They are a little expensive. Coffee costing $3.00. You do get a lot of food, biscuits are amazing!! I do wish the service was faster and there was more seating. Will definitely be back when staying in Corolla.

The best burgers in the Outer Banks and a wide selection of craft beers. Always go here for at least a couple lunches and a few breakfasts when we come for our annual Labor Day week Outer Banks vacation. Great staff and vibe.

yum! we had a hankering for a late breakfast and they still served it at 1pm. I had a delicious western omelet; it came with home fries. both were delicious and hot! i ordered a biscuit with mine...it was the size of a softball and light and fluffy. plenty of butter and jam on the table. so good and totally... Since this seems to be one of very few breakfast restaurants, there are always a lot of visitors. We have been coming to OBX for over 20 years, and the place has changed hands several times. The current ownership has nothing to brag about. We walked up to the "greeter" who looked like she would do anything to get out... More

I have enjoyed breakfast at First Light a couple times. They have a nice menu and the food is great. I recommend their Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce is a little different, in a good way. Home fries a cooked perfectly. One of their specialties is a French toast. If you have a sweet tooth I am sure you will... More

Our party of ten chose to eat at a First Light on our last night in Corolla. We were seated immediately despite the size of our group. Although it took awhile for our meals to be delivered, all the adults loved their sandwiches. My young granddaughter ordered buttered pasta and she didn't like it. The waitress took it away and... We had a party of 4 adults, 5 kids and 2 infants. We asked to be seated together but were told 3 unreasonable reasons why we couldn't. One reason being, if someone had to go to the bathroom other people in our party would have to move... (Isn't that our problem?) Our waiter did not have a clue what he... More

Have traveled to the Outer Banks for many years and decided to try this little restaurant out. Needless to say my family and I will not be back. The food was overcooked and had absolutely no flavour. Don't let their "lightly fried" food fool you, it's to the point where it's almost burnt and you cannot taste anything but oil... More
