Have traveled to the Outer Banks for many years and decided to try this little restaurant out. Needless to say my family and I will not be back. The food was overcooked and had absolutely no flavour. Don't let their "lightly fried" food fool you, it's to the point where it's almost burnt and you cannot taste anything but oil... More

We had a very similar experience as another poster mentioned. We arrived at 7:25 a.m. and while signs were posted that they were open, and the staff was inside, they were still not open at 7:40. My husband tried to open the door then, and the staff waved us off. We know where we aren't wanted so we left and... More

I believe this restaurant is listed twice: once this way, and once as just First Light, so I left my review on the other listing by mistake. This place is known as a breakfast/lunch spot, but we love it for dinner too! Very casual and great burgers.

Good food and drinks. Kid friendly. But very small. Went for lunch and had burger and reuben sandwich. For Corolla, it is definitely one of your better options.

The burgers are good when they are open. One year we went in the middle of the day and while the place was packed they told us they were closed. We had a pretty hungry kid with us but we figured maybe there was a party or something. Anyway this year we just tried for their breakfast twice and once... More

I came in for dinner and sat at the bar. I ordered a burger and a beer. I don't think they had one consistent bar tender, I had two people checking on me to make sure everything was ok. My burger was fine, nothing to write home about. I'm not currently in a rush to go back. The servers seemed... More

I recently visited for breakfast on a Sunday. Place was packed with a 45 minute wait. I took this as a good sign that this little place must be a big hit. Our group of 6 decided to come back during the week when it was hopefully less busy. So the following Tuesday we tried again and were immediately seated... More

I have had their lunch and breakfast. The lunch burgers are decent. Breakfast not so much, I wouldn't say it's bad more like standard. I tried the poached eggs dish they were cooked completely through. Other than that just standard all though the waitress was as nice as you can find.

We ate here for lunch today. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait to be seated inside, or we could be seated outside immediately. We chose outside. The waiter came over right away and took our order. 45 minutes later our burgers arrived. The burgers were very good, however, I'm not sure they were worth the wait.... More

Stumbled on to this place when we were shopping. It is tucked away in a gift shop area. The food was tasty and the waiters did a great job on both the days we went. I got to try Mimosas for the first time. We ate inside one morning and outside the next morning. I like outside seating better. There... More
