Good Comfort Food

I was wanting an open face turkey sandwich, and was running out of options. I saw Cook House had fresh turkey on their menu. Their take out portion was quiet generous. I just wish they had turkey gravy instead of brown gravy.

We ate breakfast here for the first time yesterday, Sunday, and what an wonderful breakfast I had. It was a slice of ham, a link sausage, a sausage pattie, 2 eggs over easy perfectly, hash browns and a big old fluffy warm biscuit. Good coffee too. Husband the biggest omelet he had ever seen. I have eaten at Cookhouse on many occasions - both breakfast and lunch. It is my family's "go-to place" for breakfast. A broad menu covering virtually anything you would consider having for breakfast - it's very good and you get a lot for a little. I visited this restaurant recently and had country style steak with rice and gravy and corn. The food was pretty good. The service was great. Nice place for a basic meal.

This is a good place for lunch. Never been for dinner. Good home cooking. Nice variety. Wait staff is very friendly but the cashiers could use a bit of friendliness Almost rude.

Service was good, prices reasonable, food fine in that it was a family style restaurant/diner, located right off I-77, with daily specials.
