Fun Atmosphere, Good Food, Reasonable Price

The hotel staff recommended this place, so I walked up there, not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere (lots of wood, Irish historical pieces/renditions, brick, etc.) Very Irish-bar like. Good menu with lots of options, including some authentic Irish dishes, like Bangers... read more

I rewarding my little brother after he helped me do some mechanic work on my truck. He had just moved to the area and I didn't know any restaurants in the area but knew I wanted some fish. He suggested this place and I'm glad he did. The young lady hostess opened the door and welcomed us in and another... More

I am no expert on Irish cuisine. However, I have a good palate and know when food taste good. So, we always go there for their bangers and mash. Also, it is a cool restaurant with beautiful outdoor seating. I always see lots of people at the bar so I guess it is a great hangout place.

I went here with my mom for a fun new place to try. They have a great menu with many traditional options. I've got to admit my favorite thing here were their nachos. They have a happy hour price til 6pm Monday to thursday for only $3! Along with a few other things they offer for a great deal til... More

We went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday although we did not let them know. Nice Irish pub with a boat (hooker) hanging from the ceiling. We had the Calamari for an appetizer. I had the tomato basil soup and my wife had a Caesar Salad. For our main entree we both had the fish and chips. All of... More

We've dined at Galway Hooker several times and enjoyed all the food and most of the service. It's a great looking place, nice atmosphere inside. Not too loud, not too quiet IMO. Perhaps a more unusual menu for an Irish Pub than one might expect (menu currently includes Jamaican inspired dishes among others), but they do have Shepard's Pie and... More

The pub was built in Dublin, Ireland and shipped by boat to Charleston, SC. Then trucked to Lake Norman, Cornelius, NC and assembled. You have outside seating, seating with an arbor covering it and inside seating. The choices have a pleasant, friendly feeling. The menu includes the usual pub offerings like fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, but there... More
