Waiter was thoughtless and careless. We asked for water. His on-the-fly style resulted in one glass of ice water for me which I shared w/husband. Appetizers, salad and entree served all at once although several items were missing like blue cheese dip for buffalo shrimp. Had to ask for these. Our requests were met by blank stare. Then, "oh, yeah.... More

My fiancé and I drove by and the place looked like a good authentic Irish pub, so we decided to drop in for an early dinner. Best choice we've ever made! I had the corned beef and cabbage-excellent! My fiancé had the beef medallions-even better! But the best part of our whole meal might have been the sweet potato fries... More

My family and I went here on a vacation to Lake Norman. There was no wait around 630 and seemed to be a delightful restaurant. I was wrong, many of the waitress were talking about customers from what we could hear and was not a professional restaurant. When trying to get our waitress or other staff members for refills, we... Great service, good selection of food including traditional Irish fare (Bangers, Shepard's Pie, Corned Beef & Cabbage, Etc.) Lucked out by visiting on $ .50 wing night. Ordered way too many but enjoyed the selection nonetheless. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly and knowlegeable of the area also. Smiling faces are always welcomed at the end of a long travel day.... More

We've been here a few times now so I figured it was about time to write about it. Each and every time we've been here we've had nothing but great service and delicious food. Only had to wait one time for a table and that was for only twenty minutes. Every other time we were seated right away by a... More

The food was wonderful! My husband and I went to the Hooker for the Acoustic by Candlelight concert. The room was packed but that didn't stop the servers from doing a wonderful job. We really enjoyed our experience! Also, the bangers and mash are very close to what we had in Northern Ireland! The pub atmosphere is more an American... More

This place is very well known as an outstanding bar, but the food can’t be beat. We’ve eaten here a number of times and I like the fish and chips. The best in the area. Incredibly fresh. The last time we went, we were seated way in the corner even though the general dining area was wide open. Maybe because... More

This place labels itself an Irish pub. I ordered a Tully, and before I could say "neat" the bartender yelled at me (yes) for my phrasing. She commanded me to order things by their proper names. Now, I've been a bartender and I've trained a lot of bartenders. I approve abrasiveness. I think it's MUCH better to be abusive than... More

As a Scot I have found it very difficult to find a decent pub. The GH is the best place I have found so far. Good staff, good food and good beer. Also, there is a good number of TV screens that are usually tuned to different sports. On St Patricks day the GH is the place to be.
