Mexican Lunch on a rainy afternoon

The is a very clean and authentic Mexican restaurant. It is also very reasonably priced. The portions are large so order conservatively. It was not very crowded when we went in, but the food was excellent.

We eat at Zapata's a few times per month and food is always delicious. My husband is a San Diego native and grew up eating Mexican food. This is the only local Mexican restaurant that he likes. I had never been a big fan of Mexican food until we started eating here and found I actually love it. It's one... More

We last dined at Zapata's 10 years earlier. The venue had not changed so it's somewhat tired but the typical Mexican fare is good. The service is also friendly and efficient. Good beer and margarita selection. Wide menu selection including American if you are not in the mood for rice and beans. Very reasonable prices for the area.

The service has always been efficient and curtious, the food is generally Mexican and full of flavor. Never had desert here, have always had just the right amount of food , not to want anything additional. Atmosphere is invigorating, and energetic. The food is always "light" and enjoyable.

Good size portions served up hot. All of the standard Mexican fare. Salsa tastes home made. Clean. Service was fast. Seem to have a good selection of margaritas-- I didn't get to try.

We were in Charlotte and were looking for a place to eat at the Broadwalk. I went to tripadvisor and Zapata's was highly recommended. We were a family that consisted of four adults and all agreed that our meals were one of the best that we have ever eaten. Not only was the food superb, but the restaurant was clean... More

This restaurant has a warm friendly atmosphere. The service was good and the food was also. The portions are large and there us good variety on rhe menu. You can miss this from Catawba. Drive around the back. It is worth it.

I am addicted to the street tacos. They marinate the onions in honey and they are mouth-watering! The chimichangas are great and the service is top notch!
