Emma's Carolina Cuisine and Spirits closed its doors for the last time September 21st, 2011. I was a long time employee & dining room manager at Emma's. I worked right up to the last shift. This was a very tough decision for the owner, but with the economy and the flood of other restaurants that had recently opened in the... More

No wonder most seats are taken. The food's terrific. Service is good and friendly (unless you're unlucky enough to get the one really grouchy woman who seems to wish she didn't have to do tables or speak to anyone) and the openness of the place lends itself to excitement. Tough to find but easy to enjoy. We found Emma's by accident while preparing for a downtown parade. The feel of the restaurant is one word - cozy. We felt right at home with the ambiance, service and the food. Excellent choices on the menu and the food is prepared very well. Can't wait to go back.

Great food cooked southern style and awesome people serving, etc. Real southern style hospitality too. I highly recommend Emma's and all the good folks there!

I would take the time to find this gem in downtown Concord. I have eaten here MANY times and enjoy everything not fried on the menu. The food is well prepared and most of the sides are not vegetarian, which I love. Get a cold beer, a plate of home cooked food, and ask the owner to put on some... More

Everything is good about the place. Atmosphere....food...prices!! Very friendly gang! The sweet potato fries are out of this world. Great specials too. Very affordable and the quality is great and consistent. The soups are home made from scratch and are wonderful. The desserts are home made also. The chocolate chess pie is sinful. Served with vanilla ice cream and caramel... More
