Thought we'd give it a shot. Should've kept on stepping. Waitress took forever and food wasn't much better. Fries tasted like they were prepared in really old oil and by the looks of the dated decor, they probably were. Although they give you big portions, what good is it if you don't eat them.

I noticed recently that Mayflower's business has dropped off except on weekends. We usually purchase Senior plates and tonight we went in and they changed menu. Now Seniors pay the same as everyone else. Needless to say, we will not frequent their establishment again.

It seems to be difficult to find seafood in NC, except on the coast, but the Mayflower does a good job. The place was always clean and service was good. The portions are large and the fried shrimp is done well for NC....Tried take out once too and it was done quickly and correctly and the portions were just as... More

This location offers a great $3.99 on Tuesday nights and we like that. Always have had good meals here and no complaints. Just stopped in for to-go lunch of Sr. shrimp and baked potato so no cooking at home. Even when dining in we have short waits and food arrives prompt and hot. If coming through Concord, make this a... More

I was travelling with co-workers on business and we stopped here for a quick dinner. We were very surprised with the cost (popcorn shrimp-piled high on a platter with sides for less than $7). There were many options to choose from. I opted for a broiled seafood platter and couldn't finish the entire meal because the portion was so large!... More

The seafood here is just okay, mostly all frozen from what I can tell, then fried or broiled The shrimp are small. The crab cake are some of the worst I've ever had! Kinda like something Golden Corral would have...Now, fried fish maybe but, those crab cakes & shrimp wouldn't sell up may way, not even in the winter... You... More

After driving 9 hrs to visit with my daughter, son-in-law, grandson my wife and I met up with them along with our son-in-laws parents. It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed the food. The food was prepared to our liking and there was plenty to eat. They surely pile the food on your plate for the cost. Although the... More

Don't expect French gourmet fish preparation here, but do expect good food, well prepared, and an excellent variety of both fried and broiled fish options. Do pay the few cents extra to have your fish "salt and peppered!" I can't imagine enjoying the fish dishes without that seasoning. Prices are reasonable, and an extra discount is offered to seniors. We... More

I visited the Mayflower near Concord Mills yesterday. I had the flounder and popcorn shrimp special with fries. I had them salt and pepper the fish and fry everything a little more. The fish was flavorful and the shrimp was good. I was not totally satisfied with the change in hushpuppies they had there or the cocktail sauce. They need... More
