After having been there before recommended to our friends.. The quality was poor at best... 2 had burgers 1 had Beef kabobs 1 had chicken and I had Jambalaya. The burgers were overcooked and poorly presented. The chips served with the burgers were practically burned up. The jambalaya had almost no flavor even after requesting different sauces... Rest of food... More

Terrible lunch and service--- We were seated by at hot window and left for at least 5 minutes with no beverage before we were moved to another table. When my salad finally arrived it was filled with brown wilted lettuce. My sons grilled cheese consisted mostly of bread and little cheese- It was a waste of 23.00 for lunch!!!

Birthday party for an 8 year old followed by a family lunch at Afton Tavern. Even though the name says Tavern, it's a very family friendly place. Party of six spanning three generations and there was something for everyone. I had the Chicken and Dumpling as an appetizer followed by a Reuben. My wife and daugter-in-law had Philly Cheese Steaks,... More

This restaurant used to be a good place to go for lunch or dinner. But lately the place has been going downhill. The menu is almost identical to the menu from 2 years ago. They used to change their soups frequently. One day it would be vegetable, three days later French garden, followed by Italian Wedding. Now it is chicken... More

This used to be a great place with wonderful food. NOT ANY MORE! I ordered a Tavern Burger with crisp fries to go. The fries were cold, limp, and under cooked. The burger was BATHED in garlic powder and although I only ate half, the garlic was with me the rest of the night! When I went back to speak... More

Stopped in for dinner and chose to have their signature salad. It was DELICIOUS! The wait staff was very polite and efficient. I would not go there for ambiance but for a good meal at a good price it is a great choice.

This is a great local place. I enjoy sitting on the patio, drink specials, and kids eat free on Monday. I am partial to the Cobb salad, Tavern Tacos, and Afton Salad. The kids like the sweet potato fries and the chicken tenders. They do carry out and a good beer selection. We tend to be regulars on Monday nights... More

We live in Afton so we love walking to "the tavern" as we call it. We eat here 2-3 times a month and have had numerous celebrations here- birthdays, engagement parties, even a high school reunion. The service is always great and the food is delicious. The shrimp tacos and crab dip are my favorites, but everything I've had is... More

Dinner was good but still disappointing with sanitation grade. Half way through my meal I put my meal on a clean plate and gave my plate with a hair on it to the waitress. No apology came from the waitress. Will probably re-think a return visit/

We took friends to Afton for a relaxing dinner and drinks. We sat on the covered patio. The atmosphere was relaxing, the food was excellent and the service was wonderful. Could not ask for a better place to dine. We will be back !
