This is a quaint little place in the Concord, NC area. Not very big in size, but big in menu. Something for everyone. Dine inside, or on the covered patio when the weather permits. From salads to sandwiches to delicious dinners. Very laid back. Try the chunky chicken salad if you are planning a... read more

I had the French Dip and a side of sweet potato fries. Best I've eaten. I have never had sweet potato fries as good as Afton's. French Dip was cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic. All 12 of us really enjoyed the food. I will definitely be back for more.

This is the second time we have visited. Both times our food was great! The crab cakes were amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

Got here on a Friday evening early. After waiting 35 min (it was just 2 of us) the food was cold. I got 1/2 sandwich and it was cold and smoky tasting. Someone else got steak philly which was oversalty and cold. The chicken dumpling soup was the best thing. This place needs some work on the food quality. It... More

Friends came down from Virginia and I wanted them to get some good Concord food. We arrived at 7pm. We did not get our drinks until 7:45. We then didn't get our food until 9pm and it was wrong and slightly cold. The manager refused to help us but did say he would get us deserts and it would be... More

Four of us in our party and were seated very quickly. Staff very friendly and service very quick. Food was delivered and all looked good EXCEPT the fish I ordered. Upon trying to eat the fish (very, very small portion) I discover it was full of bones. I did indeed complain and was brought a new piece that was actually... More

We had a huge table of 20 and our service was great. She was on it with our drinks and food, didn't screw up the bill (which always happens with groups), and was attentive. Everyone enjoyed their food. It must be a good restaurant because there was a LINE out the door.

baseball and other great steak offerings (teryaki / kabobs ?). decent sidedishes, but avoid salt / overly salted items. reasonable prices. good service. could use updates in restaurant area and could be made cleaner, but far, far better than other run down high traffic areas nearby. also, MUCH competition and several dining options right nearby in Afton area. just a... It may be that we had a waiter who should work in a different industry but after the average food and the terrible service, I am not sure I want to go back and find out! It was not that busy and our waiter abandon our table and acted like he had no idea what he was doing. I must... More

Afton Tavern We chose to visit this family favorite for lunch on a Sunday. I ordered the Nachos with chili and my wife ordered the Afton Tavern Signature Salad with her usual modifications. The nachos were served with white corn tortilla chips topped with spicy queso, diced peppers, cheddar cheese, and chili. They were great, with just the right amount... More
