I have eaten at Gianni's several times for dinner and lunch. Every time the service has been very slow and the servers very busy and unable to give the patrons attention expected while dining out. I understand being shorthanded every once in a while but not EVERY time.

This restaurant was recommended to my wife from someone that has dined here and raved about the food. Since it was our Anniversary, my wife wanted to have dinner here and so we made reservations in person. Upon arriving, the staff was very polite and friendly. The atmosphere was like walking into a restaurant on a side street in Italy.... More

This is one of my favorite regional restaurants, not just in Concord, or even Cabarrus County, but even in all of nearby Charlotte! It is my go-to restaurant for special occasions and it never disappoints. I have brought many guests here -- and they always agree that it is an outstanding culinary delight! Some of my favorites include the antipasto,... More

We chose Gianni's before a concert at PNC and we were not disappointed. The antipasto for 2 was HUGE and delicious. My lamb chop was "melt-in-your-mouth". The only oddity was that you could only get pizza upstairs in a separate restaurant so we had to compromise since my husband wanted pizza. Upstairs is VERY casual and limited beer/wine. We chose... One of our best meals ever! John Goode greets every customer, many by name. Heather Stadler is a genius in the kitchen and his staff were professional and efficient - 5 star service. We were a party of four and shared two great appetizers and 4 different meals. Exceptional!

I had a great pizza upstairs. My forst impression when they brought out paper plates for the pizza had me worried but my first bite into the white bella slice was delicious. We ordered a half bella half giannis cheese. The white bella pizza was so good. The garlic and basil went well together and I would recommend to all.

I visited with my family. The group totaled about 10-12 people. Our server was standard. She didn't go out of the way for us on anything, which is why I didn't say excellent. We visited on a Wednesday night, and it seemed that they could use an extra server and runner. The owner and another man were the only ones... More

My friends and I had a fabulous and affordable lunch. We had a group of eleven and they accommodated us quickly with great service. Everyone got something different and all was enjoyed. They have a wonderful dinner menu as well. Completely different and more expensive. Eat downstairs much better atmosphere than upstairs.

My husband and I were on a weekend getaway and decided to have a nice romantic dinner. The food was delicious and the service was even better. They were so friendly and helpful. And don't even get me started on dessert. I went to pastry school so I have tasted some pretty good sweets. Their mascarpone cake made me cry,... More

This was my second solid visit to Gianni's Trattoria. The quaint setting in the historic buildings on Union Street in downtown Concord, add to the enjoyable experience. We were greeted promptly at the door and received quick initial service (later, our server seemed overwhelmed and apologized several times for her slower than expected performance). But, it is all about the... More
