Let's face it: in the day of Golden Corral, if you are going to be a "buffet," you'd better be prepared to strut your stuff. McCall's doesn't strut. In fact, it might be more of a limp. The selection of salad bar and side items is very limited. Prices aren't cheap. The barbeque is generally okay. But the banana pudding... More

The Buffett is a joke, low quality over cooked, and plain everything. Beans feel like they open the can and heat it up. The sides are lacking no Mac and cheese? The salad bar is average at best. Service is ok, sweet tea is pretty good. If you want cheap food for a cheap price this is the place for... More

Excellent country buffet with many choices. Pork BBQ, beef BBQ, fried chicken, BBQ chicken, steak tips, chicken nuggets. Country vegetables including Lima beans, corn, green beans, field peas, fried okra, collards. Huge salad bar, pistachio Waldorf salad, chicken salad. Desserts: soft serve ice cream with toppings, cobblers, cake, pudding, brownies, cookies. Fresh food, superb BBQ, and delicious dessert!!

Open Buffet, BBQ was dry, chicken over cooked, the service was OK but I would probably not go here again.

Food and buffet are good but not great. Staff are very friendly and courteous which makes up for it. I go here about twice a month and love their bbq sandwiches. A must for people who love bbq!

If you're from out of town, be aware that some local popular dives will be good in Clayton and others, not so much. McCall's has huge bounteous buffets. But they don't make up for it in quality. The vegetables are overcooked. The chicken breast was fairly tasty, but overall, and for the price, we wouldn't return. Sorry, folks, but I... More

And it was our first restaurant as well. We were invited to go out by freinds and we ended up here. On the whole there are alot of items to pick from, though you need to be picky. The place says "Seafood and BBQ" but in reality its BBQ (at least on the night I was there). The "seafood" on... More

We ate here at the urging of the group we were with. We usually steer clear of buffets and dining here reminded us why we do so. With the exception if the very average salad section, everything from the meat to the veggies was swimming in grease or fried. Fortunately, I was able to find some ribs that weren't too... More

Open dining, and am unsure of they have a menu, as every time we've been we get the buffet. This visit, the waitress was on top of her game, the foods were freshly prepared, and the price was just right. The fried shrimp and oysters were simply delicious, as was the banana pudding dessert.

Good value for your dollars, BBQ is average, but sea food is excellent, and their sides are much better than most places. Then there is that banana pudding. I go to McCall's just for that Banana Pudding.
