Out of all the Mexican restaurants around the Clayton area, I would rate this one the best. Their menu is not your average menu that you'll see at the majority of Mexican restaurants. They have some unique dishes that are good. My husband likes to get the fish tacos. I like the chicken enchiladas and the beef fajitas.

After a previously un favorable review because of service, we decided to return and try it again. The food was very good. Hot, quickly served to our table. The basic soft shell taco, beef burrito, rice and beans were very good, nothing outstanding, but very good. Portion quantities were good. The chips and salsa before the meal was excellent, fresh... New to the area, we had a coupon and decided to check this place out. It was a sort of mid-afternoon "lupper" (that's a cross between lunch and supper), so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I had the carne asada; hubby had a seafood dish. They were very nicely presented and garnished, and the food was quite... More

I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time (a couple weeks ago) we went there during dinner. Ordered our meals, and my husband and I were both extremely disappointed. The food was extremely bland. The sauces taste cheap and the meal all around tasted like it was all bought from cans or prepackaged food, or a microwave dinner... More

The food is very good. The salsa is fresh and delicious. I had the tilapia which was a good size portion. If I was rating this review on the food alone, it would get 5 stars. The restaurant's downfall is the service. The overall quality depends on which server you get and what kind of mood the kitchen help is... More

They have a very friendly staff with a high quality of food and a very friendly staff. I love their salsa and often get their take-out. If I dine in, the margaritas are a must try.

Yes you heard it here. Fresh made guac right at your table. Here in Clayton, NC. WHAT?! Yes please! Authentic Mexican and other nationalities are represented here fairly well. One complaint/disappointment: I don't know if it's too bright in there or what. It's nice and clean. Just not very cozy for my liking.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, you will enjoy Festejos. It's not your average 'Mexican food' restaurant. They use fresh ingredients and you can taste the difference. The table side guac is one of the best I've ever had. The salsa has a little heat, and balanced nicely with the cilantro, not overkill with it! While pricing is a... More

After reading the reviews I expected more. The Margaritas are made with a mix that is not worth drinking. The salsa was ok. Chips and guacamole were the highlight of the meal with the guac being excellent. The remainder of the food was avg Mexican food, nothing special. Probably would not go back.
