With limited choices for dining in the area, The Esmeralda Restaurant is EXCELLENT! The inn is beautiful, clean, and mountain chic/ elegant. The weather was beautiful today and we dined outside on their private, scenic patio area. The service was great, the eclectic food choices were interesting, visually appealing, and delicious! Also VERY IMPORTANT... the fine dining experience is very... More

Breakfast was very good. Service was excellent. Good-sized portions. Loved all the fresh fruit. Kids really liked the 'pigs in a blanket with homemade syrup--and they're picky eaters.

We were here for a wedding at the 1927 Hotel. Our meal here was the high point of our weekend. My boyfriend owns restaurants and thought this place was great. Not Italian though

The food was comparable to a 5 -Star restaurant. They definitely have a great chef here. I wish we could have experienced their wine pairing dinners.

As one other reviewer put it... "Classy". Without a peer, this restaurant is the most classy of it's kind around Lake Lure. The food and service were top notch. The outside seating is within view of Chimney Rock, one of the most beautiful spots in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wine list is first class. The Pan Seared Five Spice Duck... More
