We met family there upon their recommendation. It was friendly, warm atmosphere and the food was outstanding. Everything was homemade and wonderfull.

Where do I begin? First off, staff walked around like they were all having a bad day, no one was smiling. Secondly, the tables were all so very close to each other, we were basically sitting WITH the people next to us - lucky for us, they were nice :) Thirdly, and most importantly, the buffet was small and left... We stopped in for breakfast and were not disappointed. Quaint seating, family friendly, town hot spot for sure. This is the place where everyone knows each other and smiles were all around. Our server told us to help ourselves to the buffet. Granny surely is a great cook....food for our breakfast was just what we needed to start the day.... More

We arrived at about 8pm not knowing they were closing. No one said anything to us and allowed us to eat. We left at 9 and then realized that they closed at 8. What wonderful people. Buffet is all they serve and it was very good even at closing. Would love to try their breakfast sometime.

A local recommended this restaurant. They had a very good salad bar, but the meats and vegetables and meat were lacking. Only two meats chicken and fish the day we were there. The vegetable were pintos, green beans, beanie weenies, greens, mac n cheese, rice, and baked apples, We thought maybe mashed potatoes, corn or something other than so many... More

We were lost trying to find a restaurant and stumbled in here. The food was good and the service was good. We're not big fans of country cooking or buffets but in a pinch this was fine for our family of 4. A better selection with some healthy options would make this place more attractive to a wider audience. If... More

We were seated and asked for what we wanted to drink, then told to get food off buffet. We were never told prices nor that they had a soup and salad cheaper option, which was all my mother got and we would not have known that that was cheaper if she has not over heard a waitress tell another customer... There were five of us and the wait was about 15 minutes. The buffet was plentiful and the staff kept all items full!! There was roast beef, trout, fried chicken (a little over fried to my liking but possibly due to trying to keep it warm), salad, numerous veggies (the little red potatoes were awesome and the mac and cheese... I was out with my motorcycle group, we called ahead and gave them a 1 hour warning for early Saturday afternoon. We showed up with 26 hungry folks and they had the required number of tables all together waiting for us. Seems like the restaurant was full as soon as we sat down too. We've been here several times for... More

My family and I visit Cherokee very often and we always make a point to eat at Granny's Kitchen because the food is always cooked fresh and the buffet has a large variety of great food Breakfast lunch and Dinner! Prices are very reasonable and they do give a senior discount to people like myself that are 50 and older!
