better than most

Prices of food very affordable. Staff at the bar very nice. French Onion soup not as good as what I make but managed to eat it all!.. Trout was fishy tasting but not bad. Turkey wraps and salads and their dressing were very good. All other foods tried were very good; much better than I expected.

We came here for restaurant week, yesterday actually. I should have listened to other reviewers, but thought I would give it a chance. What a waste of time and money. While the service was fine, the food was most definitely not worth the price. I had the eggplant parmesan appetizer, which was served very near to cold. I tend to... More

I live in Uptown Charlotte. I had never heard of this restaurant before. A friend made a reservation there for last night because our other choices were booked. I thought, "Oh, how interesting. How do I not know about this restaurant?" I didn't know about it because is it a HOTEL RESTAURANT. Like, you wouldn't go there if there were... More

We ate dinner and the breakfast buffet. For dinner we had the Frutti Di Mare and it was very good. The best mussels I've had. For breakfast, the buffet had perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, and biscuits with gravy. A variety of fresh fruit was offered and all was perfectly ripened and fresh. Orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. Service was... More

We recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding and had the Sunday brunch before heading home. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The food was hot and they did not let anything run out. The cost was 14.95 which is not a lot, but there was not a huge selection of food. For the price however... More

Service was a little slow. She Crab soup and lobster mac and cheese was good. It is in the Holiday in where I stayed.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn that houses this place, so convenience was an influence. Drinks and an appetizer (Seared tuna) one afternoon was pleasant and fine. Priced fair, good service and surroundings. Looks out onto College st. The next morning was a quick breakfast before the airport. Buffet ($14) looked good, but we opted for the menu. Wife had... It's ok. It's the Holiday Inn restaurant. Average food, average prices. Service is good, though! It's fine if you're staying at the hotel, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.

If it were not for the wonderful company of friends I would have returned my food and walked out. Me and 5 friends visited this restaurant during Charlotte Restaurant week. Charlotte Restaurant week is supposed to equal a $30 3-4 course meal of high quality. This was not it. First of all, the restaurant was housed inside the Holiday Inn...that... More
