Food galore!

My husband and I had the pleasure of being served by this wonderful, kind spirited woman named Eva. She enjoyed her job, and it was obvious. She's a gem. As for the food, it was good! And man, do they give you a lot for your money. We had to bring most of it home. But as good as the... read more

My husband and I ate here years ago and decided to come back. (I guess year's ago means it wasn't memorable?) This place is fish camp oriented so don't expect much in the way of ambiance. Concrete floors, picnic tables, etc. The crowd dining left some to be desired but it's not in the greatest of locations. Now on to... More

The food is fantastic. I had the to die for Salmon and my sister had the crab cakes. Our waitress said that the owner is from Maryland and this is his own recipe. Both of us had said before hand that we would take half of our dinner home because there was so much food. It was so good that... More

First time. You get started with a bowl of hush puppies - next time I won't eat any. They are good, but there's no sense filling up on those. Ordered a broiled seafood platter - it was very reasonably priced and we could have shared it and been done. Flounder, Oysters, Shrimp two ways, Scallops and more. Instead, we also... More

We got takeout on a Saturday evening - the food was ready and hot when I got there. It was 7:45, and there were about 20 people waiting to be seated. There were also about 5 or 6 waiting on takeout. The shrimp and perch and onion rings were good.

I had the fried salt and pepper flounder with onion rings because it was recommended to me as very good. I kind of have mixed emotions because everything is in plain batter thats fried. Theres sauces on the table to use to add flavor as you eat. The portions are a decent size and my lunch was under $7. My... More

We ate at Capt. Steves during a visit with family in Charlotte and I have to say that all members of our party had very positive things to say about the restaurant. Food was excellent, portions were very large and the service was superb. Eve was our server and what an entertainer she is. She will actually sing at your... More

An excellent selection of fried and broiled sea food. A very fish camp feel without the fish camp drawbacks.

Me and my Naomi had this place on our list for some time. We both agreed that for a fish camp the food was good and the prices were fair. Our server worked very hard to make sure everyone in his area was taken care of. To use he made the experience well worth returning. Kind regards Dale & Naomi

The banner outside of Captain Steve's says Calabash Shrimp meal for $4.99 - all day Thursday. I have driven by the sign several hundred times over the past four months. I live less than two miles away. Today my wife and I ate the Calabash Shrimp. Their food has always been good. I expected a small serving - right. The... More
