Sauceman's has quickly become my favorite BBQ location in Charlotte. With Mac's, Queen City Q, and other options nearby, I have fallen in love with the pulled pork at Sauceman's. It took me two years to finally try it after they finally opened the restaurant for the dinner hours. Make sure you visit here if you are in the mood... More

Excellent tasting ribs but dining area is very small and gets hot inside as the heat in the kitchen is not diverted. Also, the outside door is frequently open as take out customers form a line out the door. Better call ahead to see what they have NOT run out of if you go there 90 minutes before closing. Otherwise... More

First off, let's say i love.l the barbecue. But the fried corn on the cob, and Mac and cheese is to die for. They have outdoor seating and even bring my pup a bowl of water. I'm also addicted to their red slaw. Friendly staff well!

We took a bike ride out of Uptown in search of Sauceman's and boy were we glad we did! Our daughter was in Charlotte 2 years ago and didn't stop by and I said if I ever get the chance I'm going to stop. I had the sampler and my wife the "original" pulled pork sandwich and we were both... More

I was in Charlotte on vacation when we decided to try Sauceman's. The food is out of this world...the best BBQ I have had thus far. Octavius was super friendly, funny, welcoming and super helpful. He encouraged me to try different sauces and I am so glad that he did. I will most certainly return to Sauceman's next time I... More

Walked in and met Octavius, and instantly new I made a great choice. He suggested the Dixie, which was the best brisket sandwich I have ever had and I eat a lot of BBQ. I will return to Charlotte and I will definitely return to Saucemans. Great service, great food, great sauces.

I'm on vaction from Florida and there is nothing back home that will ever be this good. It's a neat little place. The whole staff is super friendly, especially Octavius. He is the coolest person ever and a sauce genius. If you're not sure what sauce to use for what, let him help you, you won't be disappointed. Such good... More

First came across Sauceman's while watching the Pit Master Challenge on the Food Network. They won first place. I stopped in and fell in love with the food. The pork, the ribs, and sides all are great. The deep fried corn on the cob is to die for. there is no batter on the corn, but seasoned perfectly. The mac and... More
