We dined at Roosters for the first time recently. The food was good, but overpriced based on the portions. I ordered the linguine and clams. It was good, very salty, but the portion was tiny. With bread and a side order of fingerling potatoes I was still hungry when we left. My husband ordered the half-chicken which he said was... more

This was our 3rd trip to Roosters in the last 3 weeks as the previous 2 visits have been delicious. I ordered the salmon and spinach, same as the last 2 times but this time it was bland, fishy and undercooked. My husband ordered the steak burger which they are supposed to be famous for. It had an awful burnt... more

I like Rooster's. It's a fun place to take visitors and meet up with friends. Their wine selection is great, and the service is always wonderful. Food can be a little inconsistent, and the atmosphere can be a bit frenzied if you sit on the rooster side. Tip: don't bring any of your easily-offended vegetarian friends. There is a wall... more

I took a couple of business associates here after building it up. They were impressed. Great food, service and wine. The pork shoulder was a 10. Great BBQ sauce made from a mustard base with curry, wow! This is my 7th visit to restaurant. One of my visits included a friend who is a Chef. He was very impressed overall.... more

I am moving to Charlotte from SF and went to Roosters based upon the recommendatiion of my relocation expert. It was excellent. My wife and I split everything. Started with the Ceasar, then the smoked chicken pizza, 1/2 chicken, and the famous corn. We eat out in SF and New York often, and this place with simple, fresh ingredients, prepared... more

For the money, the food is very sub par and the service was lacking. The prices charged for the a la carte side dishes are ridiculous, especially when the quality of those dishes leaves much to be desired. Their version of macaroni and cheese, for example, was so tough as to be inedible. The main dish I ordered was grouper... more

I had the barbecue chicken, which was the WORST barbecue chicken I've ever had in my life. I also had a tiny bowl of the pan fried corn, which was not anything special for $6. One person working there said that it was family style yet the portions were miniature. My mom had tough pork and buttered butter beans which... more

Had heard about Rooster's from a friend who said it was great. Boy was it! A lot too much salt on the asparagus, but probably an accident because the rest was perfect! The spinach gnochi is a must-try! more

We recently returned to our old hometown of Charlotte and were happy to get the chance to check out Roosters, part of the Nobles restaurant family. Everything on the menu sounded good, and after consulting with our helpful & enthusiastic server, we decided to share a bunch of small plates. There were 3 of us - we started with a... more
