I often eat solo, so I always appreciate a genuine welcome and good service. I received both at Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen in South Park. I was greeted warmly and seated at the bar. The bartender was attentive and managed me an several other groups with ease. He had a couple of good suggestions for white wines to pair with my... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with our nephew and niece at Rooster's. Our waiter was informative and helpful. We enjoyed the scallops, shrimp, duck and bbq chicken. For sides we had asparagus, grilled corn, buttered peas and grits. All the food was delicious, our service was superb.

Their food was awesome. Southern food of course but wasn't too oily nor salty. The presentation was good too. The restsurant's atmosphere was very good too, wild but kind of elegant. I am glad I went there!

Just really really good food.Service was great, we sat at the 'chef's table' over looking the kitchen, saw our meal being prepared. Had a terrific time.

I met another person for lunch and she'd recommended. She was right; it's great. Had the personal size pepperoni pizza and it was served almost like they knew we were coming. Plan to come back in May and try another item.

My wife and I had dinner here on an uncrowded weekday. Service was excellent even though Rooster's had run out of my favorite beer. The menu is small but very carefully selected and contains all kinds of cool items that change daily (grilled duck breast, carolina bbq pork shoulder, smoked wings, aged cheeses, salads, etc.) If you're looking for large,... We had dinner at Roosters with a family group. Upon arriving we were seated promptly, and looked forward to a great meal based on the aroma coming from the kitchen. The wait staff was pleasant but not particularly efficient and we had a hard time getting her attention at various points in the meal, including the end when we needed... More

This is a must for when you are traveling to Charlotte! The food is spectacular, and you leave feeling more than satisfied. The corn, potatoes, and scallops are the best combination for a happy, full belly.

Don't understand the high reviews from others on this one. This is one of the worst restaurants - anywhere. The menu is very limited and odd. Ordered the arugula salad with chevre and apples, it was very small and there was only one tiny bit of the chevre and apple and the dressing was oily and tasteless. The spaghetti I... More

Went to this local spot based on an article in Charlotte Magazine: 25 Best Restaurants. The list of 25 includes many of our favorites..... We've made a commitment to eat at all of them this year! Rooster's is number 7.....really NUMBER 7? Undeserving and let me tell you why. We started with a couple of martinis, very weak martinis and... More
