Haven't yet tried dinner at Rooster's but can vouch that they serve a fantastic lunch. Can't stop thinking about their spit-roasted Vietnamese pork sandwich with pickled Daikon. So yummy! Some skillet-fried corn to go with it is the best! Have never heard a complaint from my dining companions about anything that was served. Prompt and efficient service helps you make... More

First time going and I must say this place was higher than my expectation. My wife and I went off the advice from our server who was terrific. A lot times your experience starts with your waiter which was Sean. He was very in tuned with the menu. Asked what you liked and gave great advice on entree, wine and... More

Really enjoyed this place. They serve very good roasted chicken and the cured duck was excellent. As a previous reviewer noted the pan fried corn is wonderful. The local cheeses are so good that we decided to order another cheese for dessert instead of something from their dessert menu. Looking forward to going back next time I'm in Charlotte.

Locally sourced food by one of Charlotte's most talent chefs - Jim Noble. There are two locations in Charlotte the original being in the South Park area with a very rustic feel & stuffed roosters decorating the walls in addition to a newer location downtown (South Park location is my favorite). The au gratin potatoes along with the pan roasted... More

Our group of four enjoyed their unbelievable potatoes au gratin, mac 'n cheese, mushroom fregola, scallops, mushroom pizza, beets, squash, and an arugula salad. Everything was phenomonal. The dishes are rich--they do not skimp on cheese/cream/butter! The wine list is varied, but has a high floor (the cheapest bottle is 30 dollars). I believe they would increase their wine sales... Really fresh food. Turkey breast roasted on site, nothing like store bought deli meat. They included hierloom tomatoes on my sandwich which were very tasty. Onion rings that accompanied the sandwich were lightly battered not too greasy. They do farm to table well.

One of the best non-chain restaurant downtown Charlotte. Very original cheese and charcuterie boards. The mustard is the stronguest I have ever had anywhere including France (makes Amora sweet in comparison). Amazing BBQ sauce used with the chicken that does not stay on your stomach forever. The wine selection is not extensive but there are some nice bottles such as... More

This place is really, really good. It's unique in that you pick your entree and sides separately, so you can get the exact combination that you want. My boyfriend and I split a half BBQ chicken and ordered three sides--the succotash, the grilled squash, and the potato puree. The chicken was moist and the barbecue sauce was sweet and really...
