This is a take-out restaurant only. Do not be deterred by the long lines. They move quickly. If it is a nice day, eat at Latta Park, which is 5 blocks away. The chicken is excellent and is the quintissential Southern dish. The iced tea is outrageously sweet, which is true to type. more

In my humble opinion this place has the best fried chicken in town, it's a Charlotte institution, if you have out of town guests that don't mind take out or eating from a cardboard box then take then here. more

The say it's the best but there is some fired chicken sold in a shell gas station a few blocks away that I think really rocks. more
